Oh, that is not the meaning. Now, the order of arising from the perspective of the divisions of time: kshana, tang-cig, yud-tsam, and eyelid, likewise clapping. Thus it is said. Those natures experience that object in each kshana, each tang-cig, and yud-tsam, etc., or arise from the aspect of remembering past objects. Then, the yogi with subtle views should recognize them based on the divisions of kshana, etc. Otherwise, one will not be able to distinguish between mind and mental factors. When discerning in which kshana good, non-virtuous, or neutral arose, having thoroughly understood the distinctions, one should manifest such samadhi. Otherwise, the samadhis will be mixed, and therefore the natures cannot be prevented. By the action that becomes the object of the extremely subtle mind, when one knows the difference between nature and consciousness, at that time one will quickly attain the purity of mind, which is the condensed meaning, not the meaning. Now, the characteristics of kshana, etc.: kshana is said to be the sound of a cymbal, tang-cig is the time it takes for a mustard seed to circle, yud-tsam is inhalation and exhalation, eyelid is the closing of the eye, clapping is the striking of two hands, kshana, etc., are their characteristics. Thus it is said. The duration of the sound of a cymbal is a kshana. The time it takes for a mustard seed to circle, that is, to circle on the hand, etc., is a tang-cig. The duration of the breath called life, in the heart, the nostrils of the face, is a yud-tsam. The time it takes for the eye to close is an eyelid. The time it takes for two hands to clap is clapping. One should know that these are the characteristics of kshana, etc. The characteristic of time is taught for the purpose of fully understanding the characteristic of the arising of natures. It is said thus, natures will not arise in a time shorter or longer than that time, because they are extremely subtle.

Therefore. Therefore, the yogi should recognize all natures by the distinctions of time such as moments, and having recognized them, should cultivate the antidote that is in accordance with them, just as the sound is. Now, in order to show how the wheel of samsara arises from the power of the wind and the consciousness with wind, and the negation of those, that is, to show both. The wisdom of mere self-awareness is like the sky, without characteristics, but it has distinctions, night, day, the nature of the boundary. Thus it is said. Briefly, the first consciousness is mere self-awareness, which is to be realized by the direct perception of yoga, empty of nature, free from the appearance of grasping and being grasped. Although it is the nature of the Dharmakaya, consciousness is like the sky due to the power of the habitual tendencies of beginningless ignorance, that is, equal to the sky, free from the characteristics of birth, aging, and death, but it becomes the nature of grasping and being grasped, and becomes the nature of grossness. Due to the power of the darkness of ignorance, it forgets its own nature and relies on the grasping of self and the grasping of what belongs to self, and arises as the nature of the eight consciousnesses. It also arises by relying on the three distinctions of the consciousness of entering, the consciousness of the afflicted mind, and the power of the Alaya consciousness, and then it revolves in samsara. What are the differences? Night is the consciousness of entering. Day is the consciousness of the afflicted mind. The boundary is the Alaya consciousness. In that, the names of appearances and so on are given from the gate of complete purity. The Blessed One has spoken and shown this mind in three ways in those Sutras and Tantra Kings. This negates that it is only the desire of one's own school. The establishment of that mind should be stated, that is, the cause of the establishment of birth should be stated. The winds, by the form of emptiness, having mixed with consciousness, having arisen from the gates of the senses, then focus on the objects. Here, driven by the faults of birth and karmic imprints, the Gandharva being with all the senses, in the state of the intermediate existence
