DTG037 0017.The Abridged Meaning of the Five Stages..g2.0f

English

The bliss experienced that is to be realized by wisdom is the nature of the moment of fruition, and it is the nature of supreme joy, and the nature of the wisdom of clear appearance, and it should be known to be the nature of skillful means and the nature of the lotus mother of desire. Then, with the sound of the letter "PHAṬ" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, meaning "to destroy"), offering is made within the lotus calyx with the continuous stream of bodhicitta bindus, which is the nature of unpleasantness and the nature of the moment of conceptualization. Other names also exist, such as the nature of complete separation and freedom from desire, the wisdom of near attainment of appearance, and it should be known to be the nature of boundaries. After that, when all the faculties, objects, and consciousnesses are exhausted, and the nine doors are closed, when the life force and so on become one wind mandala, and all the subtle stains of mind, mental factors, and habitual tendencies are completely pacified into a single-flavored entity in a state of complete peace, and when desire, non-desire, and the intermediate state of desire have not ceased, each individually attains the self-aware nature of the Dharmakaya, attaining the suchness of the nature of reality without beginning or end, free from the collection of various moments, holding only the vajra-peak bodhicitta bindu, and fully knowing the characteristics of the all-pervading ultimate bodhicitta suchness, experiencing the co-emergent bliss, which is great bliss, the fourth suchness, that which is to be taken, luminosity, and should be known as the very nature of becoming the fruit. For that person, there is no distinction of characteristics such as existence and non-existence, things and non-things, bondage and liberation, permanence and annihilation, with form and without form, emptiness and non-emptiness, samsara and nirvana, existence and peace, conventional and ultimate, cause and effect, expansion and contraction, going and coming, and so on. You should know that. This is the sequence of outer manifestation of enlightenment. After that, suchness.

Before attainment, you will effortlessly see a collection of five-colored rays of light like a mirage, like an इंद्रधनुष (Sanskrit Devanagari: इन्द्रधनुष; Sanskrit Romanization: indradhanus; Chinese literal meaning: rainbow). At that time, you should understand it like this: just as one knows fire from smoke, I will undoubtedly directly realize the suchness. After that, the second wheel of light that you see, like moonlight, you should recognize that it is the nature of luminous wisdom. After that, the third wheel of light like sunlight, you should know that it is the nature of clear luminosity. After that, the light that appears like twilight, you should realize that it is the nature of your own being when light is about to be attained. After that, when all appearances have subsided, and what appears is like a cloudless sky, without conceptualization, and with a very clear nature of joy, you should know that it is the clear light of the nature of emptiness of all things. That is the sequence of inner enlightenment. This is the sequence of mudras. Now, the sequence of samadhi will be explained. First, the yogi visualizes the Dharma Dhatu Mandala located at the navel, and in the center of the eight-petaled lotus, the letter རཾ (Tibetan: རཾ; Sanskrit Devanagari: रं; Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ; Chinese literal meaning: ram) is burning. The wheel of light emanating from that burning རཾ (Tibetan: རཾ; Sanskrit Devanagari: रं; Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ; Chinese literal meaning: ram), radiating flames, from the top of the head to the soles of the feet, makes all appearances disappear, and then again from the soles of the feet to the top of the head or the heart, burning everything and entering the state of emptiness of all things, that is the samadhi of complete holding. First, the wheel of light that arises from all the pores of the skin, make its movement and stability invisible, and then make oneself likewise. Such a samadhi is called "subsequent destruction," and it is the second samadhi. The analogy for the two samadhis is: just as in autumn, the reflection of the moon appears in clear water without turbidity, and its appearance is seen very clearly, similarly, in samadhi, the suchness of emptiness of all things will appear clearly. Naturally stainless, like a great mirror of samsara wiped with sesame oil and ashes, when the breath dissolves, there is nothing different from it...

Just like the object of focus. In the second samadhi, it will appear to merge into the suchness without difference. That is the order of samadhi. This is the differentiation of methods in the order of manifest enlightenment. In order to show the suchness to be obtained by the methods of mudra and samadhi, the mantra called Bodhicitta should be recited. Thus, mantras and the like have the power of self-accomplishment, just like mantras that eliminate poisons and the like. If the clear light has not yet manifested, then by the power of the accomplished mantra spoken by the Bhagavan, the suchness will be revealed involuntarily in an instant. Just as a person frightened from a tree, even unwillingly, will fall. Similarly, by the power of the mantra spoken by the Bhagavan, the suchness is obtained. Is it not reasonable that mantras such as A are present in the generation stage? Why should mantras be held in the completion stage? It cannot be said that way, because mantras are only a means. Reciting mantras or generating the deity's body, or accomplishing the collection of peaceful and other activities is not the case, just as remembering the mantra is only reasonable, just like the samaya mudra and absorption. When suchness is obtained, there is no mantra, mudra, or samadhi. After obtaining what arises from the means, what should be abandoned is called the means. It is said. Just as someone holds a lamp, and discards it after seeing the road. After seeing the knowable with knowledge, similarly, knowledge will be discarded. That is what is said. In the generation stage, it is not appropriate to abandon the means, if abandoned, then at that time he is the first practitioner, and because he is not yet accustomed, he will attain the state of an ordinary being. Therefore, it is too much, enough. He has shown the differentiation of methods in the order of manifest enlightenment. The methods of the union stage are two, namely the order of cause and the order of effect. Among them, the one called the order of cause is for those who are attached to the external objects of the Vaibhashikas and others, as well as the Yogacharas, and the Bodhisattvas.
