Now, wisdom is designated as the very symbol of the feminine. That which is pervaded by that which is co-emergent, or that which is pervaded by whatever being, is called a being. This is the distinction between male and female symbols established in the world of sentient beings by the terms "dharma" and "dharmata." The world of inanimate objects, which is the vessel that has abandoned both, is the nature of the neuter. Whatever is the terminology of the sounds of female and male of material objects is done by the consciousness of conceptualization under the influence of the habitual tendencies of beginningless time, but it is not the ultimate truth. Thus, wisdom and means, and those who have abandoned both, are female, male, and neuter. Therefore, the nature of the sixteen vowels, which are condensed by the first letter of the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom, is the nature of woman, which is contained within the letter Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱི་, Devanagari: ई, Romanized Sanskrit: ī, literal meaning: i), because it is pervasive. The category to be clarified is the very nature of what is to be pervaded and is the nature of means, therefore it is male, because it cannot be uttered without vowels. Therefore, the letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, literal meaning: Hūṃ) is the nature of collecting them. The category of Ya and so on is born from the union of means and wisdom, therefore the letter Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओं, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal meaning: Oṃ) is what collects them. Thus, it has a measure of three and a half, namely A, U, and Ma. In that, the letter A is the part of wisdom. The letter Ma is the part of means. The nature of connecting the two is the letter U, therefore it becomes Oṃ by virtue of merit. These three letters are body, speech, and mind; the three realms; the three Sugatas; the three channels; the three bodies; the three signs; the three worlds; and the nature of the three realms, and it should be known that they are the nature of entering, abiding, and arising, and such is called the very nature of mantra. Thus, the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara, with the thoughts and predispositions of the realms of sentient beings with various inclinations, and with the distinctions of realms and predispositions, spoke of seventy-two thousand divisions of mantras, all of which

The root is the letter matrix possessing the nature of vowels and consonants. Moreover, as per the previously explained order, it is solely of the nature of three letters. Therefore, the suchness of mantra should be stated as being solely these three letters. Furthermore, since they are assembled into the three winds of entering and so forth, through the door of approximate imputation from cause to effect, entering and so forth should also be stated as the suchness of mantra. It has four aspects: the collection of mantras, the symbols of mantras, the meaning of mantras, and the suchness of mantras. Among these, all mantras are generated by vowels and consonants. Similarly, from the consciousness endowed with the mount of wind, conceptualization arises, and from conceptualization, wind arises. Because the wind meets in the places of wind, letters arise. Letters produce words, words produce speech, and speech, through the sequence of great speech and so forth, through the sequence of the five sciences and so forth, produces eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma through the division of the twelve categories of Dharma scriptures, which is called the collection of mantras. Snake and headless, and contracted and boundless, and so forth, are symbols. These symbols of mantras are due to the distinctions of actions. Furthermore, heart mantra and near-heart mantra, and the stimulator of the heart mantra, and seed, and the mantra of the rosary, and knowledge-mantra, and dharani and so forth, should be known as the symbols of mantras solely from the distinctions of recitation and so forth. The meaning of mantra is Bhagavan Vajradhara, which is the common nature. The letter Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) is Vairochana, the letter Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿) is Amitabha, and the letter Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) is Akshobhya. Similarly, the meaning of the letters Svaha (藏文:སྭཱ་ཧཱ,梵文天城体:स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:svāhā,汉语字面意思:梭哈) and so forth are Ratnasambhava and Amoghasiddhi and so forth. The distinctions of the meaning of others should also be understood in the same way. The suchness of mantra is suchness, emptiness, the ultimate limit, the nature of phenomena, the middle way, and ultimate truth, which is the suchness of mantra. Like this, everything arises from the place of clear light and dissolves into that place, just as the sweetness of molasses and the heat of fire are their nature, similarly, all phenomena
