It has been examined. Similarly, here too, from the door of the basis of the substantial and non-substantial, it is considered that there are two kinds of connection. The connection between sound and meaning is substantial, listening and speaking are other than that. From the order of transmission, with the distinction of Tathagata etc., the second is said to be six kinds by those who have wisdom. This is said to be the summarizing verses. The necessity is to obtain the five stages, and the thinking itself, and the practice itself, having done the Vajra recitation and so on, to become oneself the form of the glorious great Vajradhara, what is that? The necessity of the necessity is, all the realms of sentient beings, through the door of showing those stages, or with the yoga of radiating light, to become the action of the great Vajradhara, therefore, this is the explanation of the five, such as the speaker. Some think that at the beginning of the treatise, only the content to be spoken and the necessity are to be spoken. Similarly, to say "to be spoken" for a while is not to be spoken separately, because without sound, the treatise itself will not exist. What is to be spoken should only be that which is in accordance with the connection and has skillful means. The necessity of sound is only to show what is to be spoken, otherwise it will not be itself. The necessity of the necessity is the same as before. The connection between sound and meaning, even if not spoken, should be understood through meaning. If it is not so, how can it be understood? Like this, if the words are not correct, how can the connection etc. be determined? For uncertain things, if wisdom goes ahead to enter, it is also unreasonable, because it will be too extreme. It is true, for a while doubt arises about the words. Doubt is also of three kinds: doubt of meaning, doubt of non-meaning, and doubt of meaning and non-meaning. Among them, doubt of meaning is like digging for treasure under the ground. Doubt of non-meaning is like crossing a turbulent river with hands. Doubt of meaning and non-meaning is like practicing a corpse. Among them, doubting the meaning is a branch of entering. Doubting the non-meaning is a branch of retreating. Doubting the meaning and non-meaning is also retreating.

is a branch, therefore it is not reasonable to fall into doubt. If one joins later, there is no fault at all, as one will attain liberation by cultivating the path and directly realizing that very reality. Now, the individual should be examined. Who is the master of this treatise? There are five. What are these five? They should be stated: like a jewel, sandalwood, a lotus, an utpala (Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, literal meaning: blue lotus), and a white lotus. Among them, the ignorant type is like sandalwood. The dull-witted one is like an utpala (Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, literal meaning: blue lotus). The one with medium faculties is like a white lotus. The sharp-witted one is like a lotus. The one with the sharpest wit is like a jewel. Therefore, four types of individuals are vessels for teaching in assemblies, and one is a vessel for teaching students. Some say that there are four types of listeners: the ignorant, the doubters, the those with wrong understanding, and those with definite understanding. There are two types of ignorant people: those with minds like stones and those who want to know. Among them, those with minds like stones do not seek meaning and do not want to believe, so they should be abandoned. The ignorant who want to know are those who listen to what others skillfully explain, and they should be accepted. Their ignorance will gradually disappear with the order of the treatise. There are two types of doubters: those who seek meaning and those who do not seek meaning. Among them, the doubter who does not seek meaning cannot be grasped by any means, so he should be abandoned. The doubter who seeks meaning reverses doubt by first presenting valid evidence, and the treatise with valid evidence should be analyzed. The one with wrong understanding has a perverse view, and there are three types: the ignorant, those who want to know, and those who know. Among them, the difference in the minds of the ignorant is the ignorance that has not arisen, and those who do not want to believe in reason and scripture are no different from stones, so they should be abandoned. The difference in the minds of the ignorant who are attached to karma should not be created.
