Those sentient beings who say there is a result. Samsara, which arises from one's own discrimination from beginningless time, is obscured by the habits accumulated from beginningless time. What will it become? Like a silkworm, bound by its own bonds, like a silkworm. One's own suffering here shows that it does not arise from elsewhere. Abandoning by focusing on the mind is easy to understand. These are the explanations of focusing on the mind, along with elaboration. These are also spoken of the lunar instructions in terms of a person with such characteristics. In terms of relying on others, here one approaches the conventional truth. In the meaning of the "Compendium of Practice Lamp," completely cutting off the doubts of focusing on the mind refers to the nature, cause, action, and delusion of the mind here. Commentary on the "Compendium of Practice," explanation of the fourth chapter is completed. Chapter Five: Distinguishing the Limits of Karma, Cutting Off the Doubts of the Compendium. The vajra student's prayer, etc., is to want to know the meaning of all minds and mental events. The various consciousnesses are synonymous with all consciousnesses. The nature of the three consciousnesses appears, and the so-called formless means that the three consciousnesses are invisible and unobstructed. If one thinks that wind has form, then the element of wind is also formless. This is because wind also has color, shape, and the ability to distinguish. If one thinks that karma has form, then karma is also formless, which means that virtuous and non-virtuous karma have no color. Whatever is formless has no discernment. Whatever has no discernment is invisible and unobstructed. There is no mutual knowing because they are not different entities. From the words of the scriptures, it is said to be emptiness, which means that non-self-nature is also spoken of in the sutras. The rest is easy to understand. Among them, the first only refers to the very beginning. Good and non-good refer to abandoning and entering, up to not giving and greed. Its own characteristic refers to its nature that should be established as such.

And also extensively explained, the ten virtues are abandoning the ten non-virtues generated by afflictions. The opposite of that is not abandoning, but a synonym for accepting. Where do these arise from? It is said that they arise from body, speech, and mind. For example, taking what is not given arises from the body, etc., which will be explained below. Where does that arise from? Because it arises from the body. The Blessed One and others said, among them, the misdeeds of the body are three, namely, taking what is not given, killing, and sexual misconduct. The four misdeeds of speech are frivolous talk, harsh words, divisive talk, and lying. The three of mind are greed, malice, and wrong view. Why are these called non-virtuous? Because they produce painful results, are condemned by the base, produce various distractions, and cannot distinguish the time of happiness. Therefore, the suffering of the Avici hell, etc., that arises from this also arises from non-virtue, and there are differences in suffering according to the differences of high, medium, and low. Therefore, there is no distinction in the time of happiness, and whatever form of experiencing suffering there is, it is called that. What are those differences? Misconduct is of two kinds. What are they? Ordinary is being completely separated from virtue in everything. Heavy is what is done by the assembled afflictions. What is heavy? Parents are those who produce one's own body. The guru is the one who empowers and shows the oral instructions, a special guru. Killing them is an immediate crime. Beating is a proximate action. Other than that, killing, taking what is not given, etc., are ordinary because they are the cause of suffering and are not excellent. The rest is easy to understand. Thus, after explaining the afflictions with their distinctions, the person who is the basis of the afflictions is also, abandoning the six perfections means not accepting or practicing the six perfections. The mind is extremely ignorant, which means not knowing cause and effect and suchness. And
