Thus, it is said, "without," etc., which is easy to understand. From where is this said? It is taught by the tantra called "Teaching All Tantras." Then, where is the nature of the mind taught so that it can be known? In "Abiding in the Vajrayana, desiring to attain Buddhahood," Vajrayana is taught as the path of excellent wisdom and compassion. Abiding in it is the practitioner himself. What is to be attained by this? It is the fruit, the Buddhahood, the Buddha who has abandoned and increased the seeds of contaminated and uncontaminated. Desiring to attain is dependence, connected by way of dependence. Then, what does one rely on? Relying on the virtuous friend, the noble lama, and pleasing the lama. What is sought from the lama? It is the very nature of one's own mind. The nature of the mind is to be known by relying on the lama. Then, what does the lama rely on? Relying on the Tathagata's tantra, it is to be known. Therefore, to explain this reason, as the Blessed One said, "Son of the lineage," etc. Son of the lineage is the Tibetan. By equipoise, realize your own mind individually, which is a good prophecy. Equipoise is meditation. By this, realize your own mind individually, which is to know what the mind is like. Relying on what, one constantly thinks? "Glorious Vairochana," etc., are mentioned. Bodhi is the ultimate truth. Then, what is that? It is "seeing one's own mind perfectly as it is," which is not clinging to cause and effect, etc. Then, is the mind one or many? It is one. How is that known? "From the principles of the Tripitaka," etc., are mentioned. "Walking alone, wandering far," means that the mind is one, because it is free from countable objects. It does not stay for a moment, so it is walking. Where to? To a distant place, even a seven-day journey can be reached in an instant, therefore it is called that. Where does it exist? In the interior of the body, in the center of the heart. The bodiless master is one's own mind, which has power over everything, is unteachable, and is unobstructed.

And also afterwards. The mind that is difficult to tame is just like that, like water on a steep mountain. How is it tamed? It is tamed by the true Dharma, which belongs to the side of virtue. What will happen after it is tamed? It will be liberated from the bonds of Mara, liberated from the Mara of the aggregates and the Mara of the Lord of Death, and will quickly attain the Dharmakaya, it should be understood in this way. Therefore, the reason for saying "therefore" is that it is related to the previous text. Wanting to directly realize the illusory Samadhi, know that this is because you want to attain the Dharmakaya. What to do? Abandon all distractions, freedom, and obscurations, that is, abandon all noise, realization, afflictions, and cognitive obscurations. This is not enough, so make the Vajra Master happy, because he is a master like Vajrasattva, or because he learns like a Vajra. Why make offerings to him? Because he is very kind. What kind of kindness is there? Obtaining the true oral instructions of all the Tathagatas, the oral instructions of the Tathagatas are the oral instructions of the method of obtaining the Tathagatas. And it is the Vajra Master who enables one to obtain it. Following whom does the Vajra Master realize? He mentioned the "Collection from All, the Glorious Wisdom Vajra" and so on. The tantra that is spoken is the explanatory tantra, not the root tantra. Following it means realizing from it. What is realized? Realizing the nature of the three consciousnesses, that is, realizing the nature of appearance and so on. These are explained in detail in the Lankavatara Sutra, so one should enter into it. "Great Wisdom" refers to the Bodhisattva. Thinking about whose mind is the thinker? It is said to be the Bodhisattva. Then, whose mind should he examine? It is said to be one's own mind, according to one's own true nature, that is, now. After examining what does one want to understand? The object to be grasped. The consciousness to be grasped. White and so on are also the actions of the mind. Wanting to understand these is wanting to comprehend.
