is diligence. Entering is life. Or, the five root winds are life, and the branch winds are diligence. Or, the actual wind is life, and its function is diligence. How is that known? From the Guhyasamaja Tantra, the five-colored jewel is the five-peaked vajra. How much is the size? It is like a mustard seed, the size of a mustard seed. Where to meditate? Meditate at about four fingers' width from the tip of your nose, and gather the wind there. With what? With yoga wisdom, repeatedly focusing with samadhi. How long is the time? Always, until the fruit is not obtained, meditate until then. Or, because it is like a jewel, it is a jewel. Visualize a mustard seed-sized bindu at the tip of your nose, and likewise in your heart. This will generate the five wisdoms, so it is five colors. Mustard seeds and so on are as mentioned above. Or, the five-colored jewel is the mustard seed-sized bindu of bodhicitta. Where to meditate? At the tip of the nose, meditate by opening the wisdom channels in the eyes and so on. Or, in the jewel part of your own five-peaked vajra, visualize a mustard seed-sized bindu of bodhicitta inside the knot in the center of the great bliss wheel, and likewise in the direction of the natural navel, and there learn arising and entering. Or, "The five-colored jewel," refers to residing on each tip of the nose of body, speech, and mind, because this obtains a priceless fruit, so it is a jewel. The size of a mustard seed is to measure the size, and what is equal in shape to a mustard seed is called the size of a mustard seed. The vajra word is difficult to understand, so it is explained with intention. Or, just as the vajra destroys others, if this word abides in the indicated meaning, it will destroy other afflictions. Or, the vajra is Vajrasattva, and this collection of his speech is also the vajra word. By distinguishing between definitive and interpretable meanings, in the definitive meaning it is subtle yoga, and in the interpretable meaning it is the generation stage, which is what is meant. What is the generation yoga? Therefore, it is the generation stage.

It is said, "by meditating," which refers to the stages of generation that are made to correspond to the birth of sentient beings. Some correspond to being born from eggs. Some correspond to being born in eggs. Some correspond to being born from heat and moisture. Some correspond to being born from a womb. Explaining what is done in accordance with that: one should meditate on one's own deity's symbol, such as a vajra, the size of a mustard seed at the tip of the nose, complete with color, shape, and form. Another explanation: Āli (ཨཱ་ལི་,ā li,梵文罗马拟音:āli,vowels) and Kāli (ཀཱ་ལི་,kā li,梵文罗马拟音:kāli,consonants) are the letters of method and wisdom. Extracted from these and considered as three are Oṃ (ཨོཾ,oṃ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,Om), Āḥ (ཨཱཿ,āḥ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,Ah), and Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ,hūṃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,Hum). Female, male, and hermaphrodite are examples from this very text. Entering, abiding, and rising are done under the control of the breath: Oṃ (ཨོཾ,oṃ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,Om) is entering, Hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ,hūṃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,Hum) is rising, and Āḥ (ཨཱཿ,āḥ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,Ah) is abiding. What arises from what and abides? It is the four mandalas, which will be explained below. "The breath is the nature of the five wisdoms," which means the wind that possesses five colors. "The essence of the five elements," which means the essence of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, rising upwards, and so on. "Having extracted it in the form of a lump," which means the essence of a bindu, a letter, a deity, a symbol, and a coarse color. Where does it abide? One should thoroughly contemplate the tip of the nose above. One should hold the mind on the tip of the nose and repeatedly contemplate it, this is the meaning. If it is said that it shows others who have the intention of the teachings, it is not so. Therefore, explaining from the teachings that show the intention, reciting "from then on, the Blessed One Vajradhara," refers to the great Vajradhara, the sixth lineage. "Holding the supreme vajra essence," means having understood the elaboration and effort of the ultimate meaning. "The only goer" means Vajradhara himself, the lord who accomplishes all the benefits of sentient beings. If one asks, are there not other Buddhas, the capable ones? The answer is that he himself is also the embodiment of the great Vajradhara. If that is so, then it should not appear that way. It is not so, because the Blessed One can appear in any form through great compassion. If so, who will pay homage? It is the compiler (mind).

English

I prostrate to that which arises from the appearance of the Great Lord. The supplication is easy to understand. The reply is: You have not realized the secret meaning. It means that Vajrapani, you have not realized the meaning of the great secret, it is good to ask again. The bodhicitta has become wind. It means that one's own semen, the very nature of bodhicitta, has become wind. There are two kinds of that, namely, that itself becomes wind, and from that it becomes wind, but that itself is not so, because movement and stability are mutually exclusive, and it will also change in the ultimate truth. Here, it should be examined as arising from that, here, first from the bodhicitta it becomes the life-sustaining wind and so on. In the sky it abides. It means that it abides in the truth of the ultimate truth. There are also two kinds of that: abiding in its essence and becoming the cause of attainment. Abiding in its essence means that both bodhicitta and wind are inherently pure by nature. Becoming the cause of attainment means that from bodhicitta and wind happiness will arise. When happiness arises, conceptualization will cease. When conceptualization ceases, non-conceptual wisdom will arise. When non-conceptual wisdom arises, the Dharmakaya will be attained, it is thought in this way. Or, the sky of the above meaning is great bliss. Abiding in it is the supreme haṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: ㄏㄨㄥ). Or, the meaning of enlightenment is containment, so it is the sky, that is, in the heart, the mind is made the basis, so that habits and so on are contained. Or, the sky of the above meaning, in its center abides the bodhicitta, that is, the indestructible wind. Or, clouds arise in the sky, and rain falls from that, becoming its place. Similarly, what is upward in the throat is the place, so the rain of tasting the flavor of food falls. Just as in the sky there are the sun and the moon, the stars and the clouds, the fog and the king of mountains, and many other supports, similarly from the navel chakra arise āli (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: आलि, Sanskrit Romanization: āli, Chinese literal meaning: 阿利) and kāli (Tibetan: ཀཱ་ལི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: कालि, Sanskrit Romanization: kāli, Chinese literal meaning: 嘎利), and oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡) and burning flames, and so on. Having become the life of sentient beings. Like this, life has the functions of increasing and decreasing, abiding and flourishing, and so on.
