It is called "collection." That which is obtained as the object by possessing this combination is called the object. Since it is both speech and object, it is speech-object, a special collection. It is called "Buddha himself," that is, the Buddha is the one who has attained the state of Vajradhara. It is the cause for attaining close proximity to the object. This is the collection of mantras, showing the second point. It is called "symbol," possessing names such as snake, etc. By the word "etc.," one should know the mantras without beginning or end, the mantras of collection, and the mantras without end. Among them, the mantra like a snake with "Om" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal meaning: Om) at the beginning and "Svaha" (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, literal meaning: Svaha) at the end, because it possesses both beginning and end. Mantras without "Om" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal meaning: Om) and "Svaha" (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, literal meaning: Svaha), such as "Vajradhṛka" (Tibetan: བཛྲ་དྷྲྀ་ཀ་, Devanagari: वज्रधृक, Romanized Sanskrit: vajradhṛka, literal meaning: Vajradhara), are headless mantras, because they do not possess both beginning and end. The mantras of collection are distinguished by vowels and consonants in the manner of a garland, such as mantras like rosaries, or others that are collected and distinguished. The mantras without end are those that have "Om" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal meaning: Om) but not "Svaha" (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, literal meaning: Svaha), because they do not possess an end. These are the symbols of mantras, the third point. It is called "the Suchness of Mantras," because it arises from that which is undiminished, therefore it is called the Suchness of Mantras, the fourth point. It is called "that is the ultimate truth," where "that" refers to the four aspects just mentioned, which are also the ultimate truth. It is a synonym for the cause of the ultimate truth, because the result is attributed to the cause. The four divisions of mantras are also shown. Now the form of the meaning of letters is shown, starting from "one," etc. One is the unchanging self-nature, the first letter "A" (Tibetan: ཨ་, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal meaning: A), which is the ultimate truth. It is called "nine center," which refers to the definite number of nine letter groups, in its center, which is the meaning of what is spoken here. Therefore, without it, letters cannot be pronounced between ka and ha, because there is no vowel. The sound of na means "also" in all cases. It is called "not bound by ten," among the sixteen vowel letters, the first eight letters are the short vowel group, and the last eight letters are the long vowel group. Ka, etc.

The five groups of the five "Pa" syllables, and the four elemental groups beginning with "Ya", and also the end of the eight groups beginning with "Sha", and the tenth immutable letter "A". Some consider "A" to be only a group different from others. Those who have these ten natures of discrimination, the speech of the yogi is not bound by these. That is called "unbound", and unbound is liberation from the prison of samsara. What is called "to be known" is to be shrunk into the heart. What is called "that" is the yogi. What is called "the supreme state of wisdom" is the immutable state of abandoning the discriminations of speech, which is the meaning of the letter. In short, it shows the general meaning. What is called "one" and so on, oneness is the letter of the characteristic of the Dharma seal, which is the self-nature of wisdom. What is called "first" is the source of birth for all beings. What is called "nine in the middle" refers to that letter itself, in the middle of the nine of the five aggregates and the four elements, the characteristic of self-awareness dwells. Together with these nine aggregates and elements with these natures, even "E" is unbound. It means: not bound by the rope of samsara. Because it is the nature of the three letters, it is the three of body, speech, and mind. That is called "unbound", which is synonymous with liberation from the rope of samsara. What is called "to be known" is the same as before. What is called "that" is the yogi, what is called "knowing" is the meaning of experience. What is called "supreme state" is the essence of the great bliss, the embodiment of the three letters. The general meaning is so that there is no regret. Again, the general meaning is shown. What is called "one" and so on. What is called "one is the first", that is "one is the first", the order of vowels. Also, what is called "one is the first", that is "one is the first", the consonants. What is called "nine" is the characteristic of the nine groups, which is both "one is the first" and also has nine groups, so it is the first of the nine groups, a special collection. What is called "center" is the navel of the body, what is called "state" is the remainder of the word. What is called "of ten" refers to the feminine of the letter, the nine groups and these initial letters.
