It is called the increased number, which is adding two to one. The reversed number is when one wants to exhale when inhaling, or when one perceives inhaling as exhaling. Other than that, it is the correct number. When distracted in between, one should start again from the first number, and so on until one attains samadhi. The one called 'following' is the spontaneously accomplished entering wind, which gradually enters and travels between the throat, heart, navel, waist, thighs, shins, and feet. The arising is up to a span, an elbow, or a fathom. The one called 'abiding' is to view from the tip of the nose to the big toe as abiding like a string of jewels. Is this something that supports, harms, is cold, or is warm? The one called 'characteristic' is only the wind itself, which is the four great elements, and the phenomena that arise dependent on them, and mind and mental factors, which are a brief indication of the five aggregates. The one called 'transformation' is to transform the aspect of the wind with the mind, increasing all roots of virtue from above to above, and so on until the first supreme Dharma yoga. The one called 'completely pure' is to practice the supreme samadhi of the mandala in the path of seeing and so on. When it definitely arises from the tip of the nose, at that time, it is said 'from left to right' and so on. In some cases, from the tip of the left nostril; in some cases, from the tip of the right nostril; in some cases, from both. The one that moves slowly is only both, entering gradually. Or not. It is called 'transforming into four'. With this sequence, time transforms into four types, that place is moving. That is also said to be internal. That wind itself pervades the mandala of the four great elements, therefore it is called abiding. That is time, moving is wind. Half a period, half a period, the wind completely moves and the meaning of abiding. The order as it is, is that it does not depart from the place where the deities of each mandala reside, this is a brief indication of its meaning here. Starting from the throat to the navel,

The pulse looking down towards the navel is the moon, which is Ali (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: āli, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: ali, literal Chinese meaning: Ali), the place where bodhicitta resides. The pulse that looks upwards from the navel to the end of the throat and is located on the right side is the sun, which is Kali (Tibetan: ཀཱ་ལི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: kāli, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kali, literal Chinese meaning: Kali), the place where blood resides. Among them, the left end should be taken as the path of entry, and the right pulse is the path of emergence. Breathing flows through the two nostrils. They flow from the two nostrils in equal halves, and in the course of day and night, they become sixteen parts. Now, in order to bless the deity with six verses by causing the light of the mandala of the four elements to flow throughout one's entire body, it is said. Starting from "from the right side," when light emerges from the right nostril, it should be known that this is where the fire mandala resides. By closely examining that the mandala and the light are inseparable, the color is red, and there is no distinction, these should be understood as the characteristics of the light. If it is explained in another way, there will be the fault of mistaken signs. Similarly, it should be explained for the cases below as well. Here, the dweller is the Lord of the Lotus, and should be recognized as the deity Amitabha. Similarly, when yellow-green light emerges from the left side, it should be known that it arises from the wind mandala. The Lord of Action here is Amoghasiddhi, and he is the dweller here. When yellow light emerges from the breath, it should be understood that it arises from the mandala of the Great Powerful One. The Lord of Jewels is Ratnasambhava, and he is the deity here. When it flows in the lower region, appearing in the color of a lotus flower and as white as the moon, it should be known that it arises from the water mandala. The Lord of Vajra is Akshobhya, and he is the dweller here. As it is said in the Root of Conjunction, "Fire and wind, and water and the Great Powerful One, above, directly, and below, all move in that mandala. The Great Powerful One brings kingship, water increases wealth, fire brings death, and wind exhausts wealth."
