"What is the use of my extinction and liberation?" Thus it is said. Cause is that which greatly produces the effect. That which has the power to produce the effect is the cause. The effect comes from the cause. Having realized that the two are also without difference, and having made it the nature of non-difference, wherever the yogi abides, that itself is union. Wherever the two stages are realized as one and without difference, that is also union. Having abandoned the two discriminations of completely pure deities and completely impure deities, wherever non-difference is realized, that is union. The so-called "form" is the aggregate of form. The other four are formless, having completely abandoned these two kinds of pervasive conceptualizations, wherever the state of equality is known, that itself attains the state of union. Thus, whoever knows that which is Suchness and sees it as it is, those are said to be omniscient. The so-called "holding various" is because the meaning of sentient beings is perfectly accomplished by various manifestations. Illusion is to strive to deceive others, that is the net, and bondage is also that. Cutting it off is manifest enlightenment. Or, manifest complete enlightenment through the order of the net of illusion. Samsara is not independent due to karma and afflictions, but becomes the nature of sentient beings by the power of others. That is the ocean, the pond. Exhausting it is to reach the other shore, therefore abiding in the order of other truths. Abiding by what has been done, that is the wisdom that is not obscured by the two discriminations. As it is said: Whatever is discriminated in this way, all that is false, that is the truth and the ultimate, whoever does not discriminate that. Thus it is said. Not abiding is because of not focusing on both sides. Those are the differences that show the seven sentences such as the so-called Buddha, etc. The so-called what sound is unborn, etc., that is what shows the samadhi of union. There is no other manifest desire there, because the accomplishment of the great seal of the Bhagavan has been obtained through this path. How is it a son? It is said that there is such a thing as existence, etc.

The aspect of existence is clinging to things as real. The aspect of non-existence is defamation, and these are completely abandoned. If this yogi is diligently practicing, in order to attain the state of union, practicing three kinds of conduct, then undoubtedly he will attain non-dual wisdom without hesitation. As in "How is self-nature," etc., it shows the diligence of the conduct of a yogi without hesitation, and all of these are easy to understand. Therefore, diligently striving for wisdom day and night, the ascetic who holds the hidden vow in his mind, all perfections are accomplished by the characteristic of attaining the state of Vajradhara, which is very auspicious. As in "After speaking," etc., it clearly shows the meaning of completely dedicating the root of virtue. In the "Difficult Explanation of the Five Stages: Clarifying the Meaning," union is the explanation of the Five Stages. Listening to completion is wisdom, and if both thought and listening exist, then one should diligently engage in meditation, from which one obtains unsurpassed accomplishment. A wise person, having thought in this way, first strives for the meaning of what is heard, and whoever constantly strives in practice, accomplishment will fall into his hands. If one has doubts about the words, then how can he understand the meaning? In order to dispel these confusions, I have made efforts in this. The ability to speak in all ways is the conduct of the Tathagata himself. However, for those of lesser intelligence, I have only made some distinctions. In the world, the light of the sun shines widely, illuminating all beings with light, what can the light of a firefly's body do? Even so, may other wise people, through this supplication of difficult explanations, determine and distinguish the meaning of the Five Stages, and may the noble ones be tolerant. The scriptures of the omniscient one cannot be explained by those of lesser intelligence, and the wise have not seen the distinctions of this text, I have only seen a part of it, therefore, may this explanation made with a mind free from stinginess and excellence, guide the inferior to diligently benefit beings with the eye of wisdom.

May all be pleased! Thus, by explaining the five stages of the complete transmission from one instruction to another, may the merit I have obtained, like the stainless moon of autumn, enable all beings who have fallen into the cycle of existence to quickly reach the peak of perfect enlightenment through the five stages, becoming clear, pleasing, beautiful, and blissful! As long as the rays of the moon and the assembly of stars adorn the sky, as long as the assembly of darkness is swiftly destroyed and the orb of the sun appears, as long as this one wondrous place, Mount Meru, remains, may the teachings of the Sugata and this supreme commentary on the difficult points endure for a long time! This commentary on the difficult points of the Five Stages, called "Meaningful Illumination," composed by the great scholar Tson-dru Sangpo, is complete. Translated, revised, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Pandit Bairyabhadra and the great translator of Zhuchen, Geshe Chenpo Sherab Tsondru. Arrangement of the Order of Explanation.
