It shows the arising of Bodhicitta. Among the so-called "all things" and so on, because it is the basis, it is a thing. Separated from all things, and abandoning the grasping and grasper of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., without self of phenomena, it is luminosity. Therefore, by means of that equality which has become non-dual, one's own mind is unborn from the beginning. The three bodies, indivisible like a vajra, are the nature of emptiness. Having thus generated the mind of enlightenment, immediately offer to the Guru with the ability as it is, and through the order of obtaining grace, contemplate the realm of the Bhagavan's passing into Nirvana, which is to attain that nature oneself. Other differences are easy to understand. In the "Difficult Explanation of the Fifth Stage, Clarifying the Meaning," it is the complete enlightenment, that is, the explanation of the fourth stage. Fifth Stage: Explanation of Union. In order to show the fifth stage after the fourth stage, the cause and effect, etc., are mentioned. The cause is the progenitor of the Bhagavan. The fruit is the Tathagata. The self-nature of Vajradhara is the nature of cause and effect. Therefore, he is the protector, the complete savior of the three worlds. Having prostrated to him, I shall explain the last stage called "Union." Abandoning the two thoughts of attachment to existence and liberation, the mind becomes one, which is called union. "Union" means two are equal. Because of joining by it, it is called union. Having realized the nature of complete defilement and complete purification in the form of ultimate truth, when these become one, that is also union. Constantly contemplating and clinging to existence is also form with appearance, because by its power, all afflictions will increase greatly. The opposite of that is non-discrimination. Having abandoned discrimination, practicing as one, that itself is the experience of union. Where there is no activity of mind with the two discriminations of grasper and grasped, and where there is an indivisible state, that is also called union. What is called permanence is steadfast.
