One, and so on, called "also," regarding this, the meaning of the external object is the six such as form, because of the nature itself. The external object is also like that, although it is a single form, it itself is a single form of the external object, so it is called "also," meaning a single substance of happiness. The term "also" refers to comparing with other categories. Consciousness completely enters into bliss. This is because even in bliss, the noble ones regard it as suffering, because it is the suffering of change. It itself is bliss, and so on, called "etc.," generating tranquility and non-tranquility, which is the form of action, namely beauty and ugliness. Happiness and suffering themselves will become other, that is, happiness becomes suffering, and suffering becomes happiness. What is the example of that? For example, called "woman," etc., the so-called "one" refers to the only body, the body with youth, that is, the only body. Regarding this, the wanderer refers to the heretics practicing impurity contemplation. The rest is easy to understand. Therefore, the measure of caste, etc., that is said is only non-existence. If the substance of the external object does not exist, shouldn't it be meaningless? Called "dream yaksha acting," etc. The dream is suppressed by the two near afflictions, and is seen under the influence of habits, realms, and non-humans. Although there is no reason to encounter a female ghost, it functions like the harm of semen leakage, that is, even without external objects such as form, it can perform actions such as seeing. Therefore, it is not self-nature, because it can function other than the appearance of consciousness, so there is no self-nature of matter. If it is said that sleeping and waking are different, called "dream," etc. Just as in a dream, harm can be caused without matter, when awake, it is also established that only the absence of external matter can function, because if analyzed, it will be found that this is only an illusion of the grasper and the grasped. So, what is the nature of the grasper and the grasped? Called "grasper," etc. In addition, due to the power of discrimination, the Mind-Only school believes that consciousness itself is the real object of the grasper and the grasped. The so-called "great" refers to a special meaning. That meaning is, consciousness

Regarding this, none of the external objects are truly existent. Thus, having refuted the true existence of external objects through reasoning, the consciousness-only mind is established as great, starting from "things." Among them, "in all" refers to the nature of the grasped and the grasper, the three realms, the three times, and the moving and unmoving phenomena. "Therefore" refers to the affirmation of the above reasoning. "The extremely clear appearance of consciousness is the appearance of form." This means that consciousness, which is unobstructed, intangible, and formless in the ultimate truth, also appears as form that is obstructed and tangible. This is a concluding statement. If asked, how can formless phenomena appear as form? The answer is, like illusion, etc. Among them, the city of Gandharvas refers to horses, etc., that appear in the sky due to delusion. The word "etc." includes water moons, etc. "Beings" refers to individual beings, because they are born under the influence of afflictions and karma. "Delusion of mind" refers to the difference of minds. "Thus" refers to guiding the meaning. The word "etc." includes sounds, etc. If asked, why did the Bhagavan teach the aggregates, etc.? The answer is, "To eliminate the clinging to self." "They" refers to the aggregates, etc. "Great fortune" refers to Bodhisattvas, because they have the fortune to accomplish the benefit of limitless beings, the fortune to abide in the Great Vehicle, and the fortune to be offered with the offerings of the three realms. "Great consciousness-only" is the measure. "In the nature of the three realms, etc., consciousness-only particularly abides," this is a concluding statement. Commentary on the Equality of No-Self of Phenomena Now is the explanation of the equality of no-self of phenomena. "This consciousness-only is various," among which "various" refers to the moving and unmoving world realms. It has two forms, namely, completely defiled and extremely purified. Among them, completely defiled is like the Sahā world. "Established" means that consciousness-only arises alone. If asked, whose view is it? The answer is, it is the view of the consciousness-only proponents, that is, the Yogācāra school.
