Those who fall from gods and humans are animals. Their suffering arises from harming sentient beings. What is the nature of suffering? Suffering exists in various forms, and due to the influence of cold and other factors, the forms of all sentient beings are different. From where does such suffering arise? It is because of harming sentient beings, so there is no fault. That meaning is hunger, etc., and "mutually" refers to the characteristics of self and others. Such suffering is constant, meaning it does not cease in the lower realms. The difference of suffering is said to be difficult to reverse, not even by offerings and miraculous powers, because it is karma that must be experienced. It is incurable, not like a disease of the elements, but arises from sinful actions. Such suffering does not arise from elsewhere, but is the result of harming sentient beings. The entities of sentient beings are said to be Buddhas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, which are four in total. The lineage of Bodhisattvas and those who have attained the bhumis, they are completely purified beings. Heavens and hells, etc., are complete defilements. "Whatever" is a common term. From Buddhas to hells, all should be known as only sentient beings. How so? They are the forms of complete maturation, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are sentient beings who are the complete maturation of the karma of the uncontaminated roots of virtue. Heavens are the virtue with contamination. Hells are the non-virtue of that. For these sentient beings, one should serve and honor them with all means. Body and mind are the means. Or through the means of offerings, generosity, and so on. Just as one protects one's own body, just as one protects one's own body from harm, so too should one treat sentient beings. Like treating poison, like abandoning poison, one should also abandon separation from sentient beings. Therefore, it is shown that if one is separated from sentient beings, one cannot attain the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, which is what is meant by detachment, etc. Cessation through individual examination is detachment because it is separation from samsara, the aggregates that are the remainder of that taste.

The non-existent enlightenment is the one-flavored enlightenment. When the mind and the phenomena arising from the mind are stopped, it abides like a lamp without oil. By whom is that enlightenment attained? It is attained by the Shravakas and others. Therefore, it is said that one should not abandon all sentient beings. If one does not separate from samsara, then it is not abandoning sentient beings. Therefore, the aspect of such and so on, thinking about the happiness and suffering that arise from benefiting and harming sentient beings, it is taught that one should not abide in the self-interest of the Lesser Vehicle. Therefore, the Bodhi sprout and so on, one should not waver from the essence of the fruit of the Bodhi mind sprout that arises from the Shravakas. It should be cultivated by the sons of the Buddhas, not by the Shravakas and others. That is the definitive statement. Among them, the son of the Buddhas is the nature of non-discrimination, because it arises from the realization of the Tathagata's mind. Explanation of the meaning of liberating those who are not liberated Now, explaining the meaning of liberating those who are not liberated, which is what and so on. What refers to the Tathagatas or Bodhisattvas. What is it like? Meditating on the meaning that has been shown, for the sake of sentient beings in the form realm, entering into the Samadhi of meditative concentration, because of the one-pointedness of mind. That is the bliss of meditative concentration, with the five limbs of investigation, analysis, joy, happiness, and one-pointedness of mind being the first Dhyana; inner purity, joy, happiness, and one-pointedness of mind being the four limbs of the second Dhyana; equanimity, mindfulness, correct awareness, happiness, and one-pointedness of mind being the five limbs of the third Dhyana. Abandoning such bliss, and being tormented by the suffering of others, being tormented is because of possessing compassion. Therefore, the snow mountain of compassion, tormented by the sun of others' suffering, like melting from the heart, tears flow from the mouth and eyes. The rest is easy to understand. Thus, it is wonderful to abandon one's own happiness and take on the suffering of others, it is seeing the meaning that was previously unseen, unheard, and uncomprehended, it is wonderful, that is, realizing after hearing. Fame is wonderful, that is, all meanings are accomplished and so on.

Like the noble Avalokiteśvara, it refers to appearances and so on, which are the Buddhas. Among all their practices, the most excellent is the noble's supreme conduct, because it enables the attainment of the unsurpassed fruit. Therefore, like "striving for one's own benefit" and so on, the seven kinds of giving for one's own benefit are all flawed, namely: overpowering others, and being accompanied by competition, attachment, and desire, as well as the purpose of lineage, high status, and fame. The stated extraordinary aspect lies in "all phenomena" and so on, wherein, having realized that all phenomena are without inherent existence and are emptiness, whatever causal conduct of giving and so on for the benefit of others is, it starts from "beyond extraordinary." These two are examined from the perspective of cause and effect. Thus, being amazing from the perspective of cause is extremely extraordinary. Being amazing from the perspective of effect is exceedingly rare. Explanation of the meaning of liberating the unliberated. The explanation of liberating the unliberated refers to "sentient beings" and so on. Among them, liberating sentient beings refers to liberating gods and humans. The condition for that action, compassion, refers to "subduing sentient beings" and so on. Those born from mud refer to the Buddhas, the kind of gods, like Vairocana. The kind of humans, like Shakyamuni Buddha, manifest birth due to the power of compassion. Among them, existence itself is mud, because it is the place of attachment and is difficult to overcome. Thus, even though born in samsara, one is not defiled by faults, because one has realized the meaning of no self-nature. The example of that is "with water" and so on. The scripture says, "With knowledge, one does not abide in existence." The meaning of that is: "With the fire of knowing emptiness." and so on. The wisdom of emptiness is knowing emptiness. Because it burns afflictions, it is fire. The meaning is that just as fire consumes the wood associated with it, so too, the Tathagata burns away afflictions with non-discriminating wisdom. However, "however" refers to, even without afflictions, one manifests birth in samsara due to the power of compassion, so it is said to be "moistened by compassion" and so on. It shows the manner of taking birth as a human, namely "death transference" and so on, death transference.
