Sa. Afflictions are afflictions, and the action itself is the root of it. From that root arises affliction, this is the law of the limb of existence. Where does it revolve? On the path of existence, that is, the existence of desire and so on, existence is the cycle of the six realms. Or, birth in the intermediate state and the cycle in the existence of death. Karma, result, feeling, and belief, there is no sentient being other than that. Mind arises from the law of dependent origination. This is called the speculation of the heretics, like the person who speculates that there is no one who experiences the karma of cause and effect, that is their saying. From that, it means from those and so on, because it is the object of action. What is that lineage of dependent origination? The example is how? From "as," relying on the mirror, as soon as the outline of the face gathers, the image appears, but there is no visible lineage between the face and the mirror. Therefore, there is no birth in that, because the face does not enter the mirror. However, it is not possible without it, because if there are not two, the image will not appear. The example and meaning are like that, from "like that," the arising there means arising from the power of afflictions and karma. Between existence means the gap between the existence of death and the existence of birth. The connection is the intermediate state. The meaning is like this, without an intermediate transmitter, by the power of dependent origination without self-nature, one is born from this life to the next, that is its saying. The meaning itself is without arising, from "without arising." The wise are those who are skilled in the sixty-two realms. Or, it is the Tathagata, endowed with omniscient wisdom. They have determined the meaning of unwavering birth, that is, they have confirmed it. How do those with the same nature arise? From "emptiness" and so on, that is, it has been determined. In the ultimate truth, from the law of emptiness nature, such as ignorance, arises the law of emptiness nature, such as formation. Therefore, from karma and result and so on, the experiencer and the experienced of the karma of cause and effect are the characteristics of the conventional, but in the ultimate truth, this is not the meaning taught by the Victorious One. Thus, having spoken of the inner dependent origination, now it is the outer

"Sungpa ni" refers to "this also," and so on. "This" refers to the vessel world. "Born from connection" means born from interdependent origination with connection. For example, in terms of ultimate truth, it means born from the common karmic cause and effect. Its example is "sprout," etc. Although it does not exist in any form such as seeds, skins, etc., it arises with different connections. The inner and outer dharmas are also the same. Therefore, in terms of ultimate truth, what is it like? Like illusion, etc. Among them, the outer refers to the compounded dharma, the aggregate of form, because it is the nature of interdependent origination with connection. Thus, is it unreasonable for the cause and effect dharma to arise from nothing? "All dharmas," etc., that is, the aggregates, etc., in conventional truth, it is not contradictory to arise from one's own seed or cause. Why? Because the cause is also the emptiness of the cause itself, that is, any dharma that becomes the cause, the nature of that cause is not established, so it is without self-nature. For example, the cause of action, ignorance, is the result of the cause of craving and grasping in the previous life. Similarly, the nature of action, the cause of consciousness, is the result of ignorance. Thus, since one appears as the nature of cause and effect, it is only interdependent origination, and the cause itself is the nature of this and this. Thus, the dharma arising from the cause without self-nature should be known as unborn. Because if there is a cause, there is birth. Thus, the unborn dharmas are highly renowned as emptiness. Because the nature of its cause does not exist, there is no birth, and the unborn dharma is called emptiness, as the Bhagavan said. What is the unborn dharma? In short, it is what is said there, such as the aggregates, elements, etc. Thus, if all dharmas are unborn, then from what do they arise in conventional truth? Like "how," etc. The so-called "that nature" refers to the absence of self-nature in ultimate truth, because it is immutable. Why? Because it is conventional truth, that is, because the two truths are not different. The so-called "that nature is conventional,"
