Great wisdom! Diligent and unsurpassed in the three kalpas, the method of attaining Bodhi and the non-abiding, the fruit is great because Nirvana is accomplished. In the cycle of existence, it is more important than other altruistic deeds, and because it has seven meanings, it is said to be a great rope. Thus it is. Or, not conceiving of existence and peace is Mahayana, because it is the path of those of the three times. Faith in this is joy. Such an appearance and the mind-only that possesses it is, one's own mind is originally unborn. In short, that is it. Thus, because it is unreasonable for phenomena of existence and non-existence to arise. In this regard, in short, the view of the Buddha is briefly shown. Is, is emptiness and selflessness. Having refuted the appearance in this way, now it is shown that the non-appearance is unreasonable. Slightly, the nature of the mind-only without appearance is, because one's own mind becomes free. Named this and so on, by the power of cultivating the other-dependent Alaya consciousness, abandoning discrimination, it becomes one's own nature. The support is the Alaya consciousness, because it is the support of good habits and so on. From realizing that, becoming non-discriminating, it is said that other transformations are purified, because the defilement of discrimination or the afflictions arising from it have not been removed. What is that? The mind that is the object of individual self-awareness. Thus, in this regard, it is called individual self-awareness, which cannot be shown to others, because it is the nature of the Dharma that cannot be expressed in words, like the feeling of a daughter experiencing happiness. For this, what is held and what is focused on is, the mind that is the object of individual self-awareness. Thus it is said. Yogacara is said to be mind-only, because it is only familiar with self-awareness. What is said is that the mind without appearance is the nature of Nirvana, showing that such exists. After showing the object, refuting that itself is, the past that and so on, for this, the past is the Alaya consciousness that has become the support. Non-existence is destruction and cessation. The future is the self-aware mind of other transformations, that also cannot be obtained, because it is unborn. Therefore, the other transformation of the support is, there is no ultimate truth, because it depends on the past and the future, it is the present. Also, there is no reason for the Alaya consciousness.

Other places are also like that, and so on. Among them, "How is it that it does not appear like that?" means, if there is the ālaya-vijñāna, then how does it not appear with its aspect and the nature of its object? Because without an object and aspect, it cannot be considered a consciousness. "How it appears is not like that" means, how the six consciousnesses and the afflicted mind appear with aspects and objects, but the ālaya-vijñāna is not like that, because it cannot fully utilize the realm of external objects. Therefore, it is a consciousness without inherent existence, because in the ultimate truth, it has no inherent nature. Such a consciousness without inherent existence is called the supreme ālaya, because the ālaya is seen by the afflicted dharmas as merely the conventional abode of existence. It is supreme because for all realms, migrations, places, and categories, virtuous and non-virtuous actions appear as merely conventional. Thus, although there is no ālaya, there is an example of movement, such as "How," etc., just as a magnet moves iron, there is no ālaya, and all the iron moves, therefore it says "Thus," etc., without it there is no ālaya. What is seen is that which is associated with mind, and seeing it move, it becomes the object of the eye. That meaning itself is "Thus, the ālaya," etc., wherein without is no ālaya, because it does not abide. "Existing four" means, like being associated with mind. "Going and light, etc." means, mutually producing. Just like going and light, it also shows the container of constant inexhaustibility. Again, the example of going far without the ālaya is spoken, such as "How the ocean," etc. Connecting with the meaning is: "Thus, the ālaya-vijñāna, Moves relying on the body." It means that the ālaya without inherent existence, relying on and connected to the body, becomes moving for a long time. Among them, the body is the form aggregate, because it is the collection of limbs. Therefore, the consciousness without a body exists, which is completely imputed; the ālaya-vijñāna relying on the body, even without the body, constantly exists, which is merely an imputation.
