To. This is approximated by the example of illusion. Therefore, the Tathagatas in Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River are like illusions, like reflections of the moon in water, like optical illusions, like dreams, like echoes, like cities of gandharvas, like magical tricks, like rainbows, like lightning, like water bubbles, like reflections in a mirror. These twelve similes of illusion are to approximate the samadhi of great bliss. Thus it is said. Also, from the Tantra of Manifest Enlightenment of Vairocana: "Rainbow-like bodies, are obtained by meditating on them." Thus it is said. Not only should I meditate in this way, but all dharmas should be known as illusions. That samadhi of illusion is also the secret instruction of all the Tathagatas, and in order to break the pride of the wise, it is completely abandoned into five parts and established. Thus, by abiding in the samadhi of illusion, and meditating on clear light, the wisdom of clear light will arise from it, therefore it is said to arise from that (clear light). This is the explanation of conventional truth, separated from the fifth limb. Explanation of Ultimate Truth. Ultimate truth has two aspects: external manifest enlightenment and internal manifest enlightenment. External manifest enlightenment has four aspects: from the twilight of dawn until sunrise, all that is separate from body, speech, and mind is characterized by emptiness. When the sun rises and exists, the spreading of appearances is extremely empty. From sunset until the moon rises, there is great emptiness of ignorance. From moonrise until the twilight of dawn, there is the characteristic of emptiness of obtaining appearances. Internal manifest enlightenment has two aspects: common and uncommon. The common aspect is that in the mandala of the heart of all sentient beings, the indestructible bindu, the essence of the Tathagata, naturally clear, unwavering, becomes the cause of all dharmas, and exists as naturally established. As it is said in the Sutra of the Essence of the Tathagata: "The body of the Tathagata, endowed with wisdom,"

It is said that in the bodies of all sentient beings who possess (lineage), it abides without wavering, just as it is. Also, in the Lankavatara Sutra, it is said: The Tathagatagarbha is naturally luminous, pure, and of the nature of being primordially pure, possessing the thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks of excellence, and exists in the bodies of all sentient beings. Also, in the Sutra of Golden Light, it is said: The Tathagatagarbha is completely pure in all aspects. For example, the nature of gold is naturally pure, the nature of water is naturally pure, and the nature of space is naturally pure, and it is not non-existent. Likewise, the naturally pure nature of all dharmas is also not non-existent. The uncommon aspect is that the oral instructions of all Buddhas, which are not the object of the Great Vehicle, are the most secret among secrets. Therefore, the fifth and sixth branches are mixed and spoken. Also, in the Great Yoga Tantra, the four goddesses asked: The most essential of heart essences, the great secret of all Buddhas that abides in all lords, I will explain to you, goddess. Thus it is said. The secret is also revealed through the two meditations of holding the entirety and subsequently breaking it down. Among these, to show the meditation of holding the entirety, it is said that skillful means and wisdom are equally joined. First, one becomes proficient in learning from a wisdom consort who possesses the marks, and at the same time, one abides in the samadhi of an illusory goddess, embracing and kissing, sucking the mother's lips, clapping hands, pinching with teeth and nails, kneading the breasts, the hanging cord, the eight postures, the village conduct, the pearl necklace, the armlet, the bracelet, and the sound of the anklets. Having the object and the faculties, that is, the vajra and the lotus, equally joined, it is called the equal joining of skillful means and wisdom. Thus, with the bliss of equal joining, the bodhicitta that abides in the nine places and so forth from the head to the feet is drawn from the seventy-two thousand subtle channels, and arrogance, the turtle, the full moon, the three channel cavities are moved with three fingers and urged intensely, starting from the head.
