生起本尊，迎請，勾招，陳設供品，奉獻供品，以及陳設其他特殊的物品， 瑜伽士各自安住，花束，座墊，領受灌頂，入定，祈請，下達指令，覆蓋頂部等等，這是攝取土地的次第。另外，藉由咒語和手印等的加持，做輪、金剛杵、珍寶、寶劍、十字杵、橛、火室，這是守護土地的次第。所謂的事前準備之儀軌又是什麼呢？「土地神和壇城神，弟子寶瓶等等，如何進行事前準備呢？」意思是首先土地女神安住於事前準備，即是做座墊，召請女神，觀看，加持，奉獻供品，祈請，給予允許，融入，土地發光，這是土地女神安住於事前準備的次第。做點，生起本尊，迎請本尊，融入，灌頂，加持，奉獻供品，讚頌，祈請，給予允許，收攝或降臨，這是壇城神安住於事前準備。沐浴等等如前所述，給予絲線，丟棄牙木，說法，給予吉祥草，觀察夢境，不好的話則驅除，這要從前面了解，這是弟子安住於事前準備。寶瓶事前準備儀軌也是，「材料和尺寸及形狀」，意思是加持，生起本尊，勾招迎請，灌頂，供養，讚頌，祈請，成就物品。中間，先前有智慧者起身，具備一切特徵，要加持絲線，首先在空中畫線，然後在地上畫線，之後加持顏料，要繪製美麗的壇城。這是中間的偈頌。要觀察什麼樣的徵兆呢？吉祥草、牙木、絲線，降下和氣味及丟棄花朵，這是徵兆的種類。

Generating the deity, inviting, summoning, arranging offerings, offering offerings, and arranging other special items, The yogis abide separately, flower bouquets, cushions, receiving empowerment, entering into samadhi, praying, giving instructions, covering the top, etc., this is the order of taking the land. Furthermore, through the application of mantras and mudras, making wheels, vajras, jewels, swords, crosses, pegs, and fire chambers, this is the order of protecting the land. What is the so-called preliminary preparation ritual? "The earth deity and the mandala deity, disciples, vases, etc., how to perform the preliminary preparation?" It means that first the earth goddess abides in the preliminary preparation, which is making a seat, summoning the goddess, viewing, blessing, offering offerings, praying, giving permission, merging, and the land shining, this is the order of the earth goddess abiding in the preliminary preparation. Making a dot, generating the deity, inviting the deity, merging, empowering, blessing, offering offerings, praising, praying, giving permission, gathering or descending, this is the mandala deity abiding in the preliminary preparation. Bathing, etc., is as before, giving thread, discarding toothpicks, teaching the Dharma, giving kusha grass, observing dreams, and dispelling bad omens, this should be understood from the previous section, this is the disciple abiding in the preliminary preparation. The vase preliminary preparation ritual is also, "materials and measurements and shapes," meaning blessing, generating the deity, summoning and inviting, empowering, offering, praising, praying, and accomplishing objects. In the middle, previously the wise one rises, possessing all characteristics, the thread should be blessed, first draw a line in the sky, then draw a line on the ground, then bless the colors, and draw a beautiful mandala. These are the verses in between. What kind of signs should be observed? Kusha grass, toothpicks, thread, descending and smell and discarding flowers, these are the types of signs.
