"True Desire." It means that when consecrating with water, etc., the disciple should also do as the Vajra Master thinks, and this is also a method. In addition, when pouring water from the vase, etc., dancing, making mudras, singing Vajra songs, blowing conch shells and lutes, flutes, Kar drums, beating Pataha drums, etc., and having a grand offering gathering, this is also a method. Without method, there is no result, and without abandonment, there is no cause for it. What should the wise explain with regard to method? As for where to consecrate, water should be poured on the crown of the head, and the four should be poured in the four directions. The flower garland consecration is also on the crown of the head. The wise say that these are the places for consecration. From here, first the flower garland consecration is on the crown of the head, and with this, it is made into a vessel, and then water should be poured on the crown of the head. The headdress is on the right ear and back of the head. The vajra should be consecrated on the back of the neck. The bell should be consecrated on the left back of the neck. The name should be consecrated on the forehead. Where should the mandala be consecrated? The mandala is said to be for the superior and intermediate disciples, flowers, powder, and pigments are for them. It means that for disciples with superior faculties, it is in the flower mandala. For intermediate faculties, it is in the body mandala. For inferior faculties, the consecration is performed in the powder pigment mandala. Or, under the authority of the Vajra Master, the superior, intermediate, and inferior Vajra Masters perform consecration in the three mandalas. The mandala itself is also on a flat ground, cleaned and sprinkled with flowers, this is the flower mandala. Laying out a flat ground, making perfume dots in their respective places, drawing Buddha images with colors, shapes, and decorations on cloth, etc., especially abiding, and arranging them in their respective places, this is the body mandala. Letters and handprints should also be according to the situation. The powder pigment mandala is also drawn on a flat ground, using white and other pigments, which are produced from jewels, or produced from grains, or produced from the elements of earth, blessed, and drawn with unmixed and flawless pigments, arranging any deity of body, speech, and mind, and performing consecration there, this should be understood as the mandala.

Do. So how does one enter the mandala? There are two ways to enter the mandala: the master and the disciple. Thus, in the mandala, the wheel of the gods is also completed. First, the master should enter. This also requires first generating Bodhicitta, bathing, praying, requesting permission, prostrating, making offerings, praising, confessing sins, taking vows, rejoicing, exhorting, praying, taking refuge, making aspirations, becoming a Buddha-child, gathering Bodhicitta, requesting permission, and so on. With this, one should first enter oneself. Then, one should begin to let the disciple enter, after making aspirations, as a Buddha-child, blessing all places, offering offerings, giving teachings, pouring water, issuing commands, descending wisdom, throwing flowers, opening the eyes, viewing the mandala, indicating Suchness, and so on. This is the order of the disciple's entry. So what is the order of what should be done before these? First is the land ritual, preparing colors is special, this is to be done before the general practice. This is a brief instruction. So what is the land ritual? First is observation and rising, observing whether it is blessed or not blessed, purification and blessing, holding and guarding. First, observation is upward and downward, observing the color, shape, size, function, and characteristics that are in accordance with what activity, this is observing the land. Then, clean the mandala, offer tormas to the gods of the mandala, the earth goddess, and the guardians of the directions, and assign work, this is raising the land. On that night, observe dreams, water, and fire, and the scenes of play, this is observing whether it is blessed. Through mantras, mudras, and meditation, as well as substances, etc., make the jewels appear in various colors, or make the letters or self-nature disappear, this is the order of purifying the land. Make the wind, water, earth, and Mount Sumeru, etc., all have five colors, and make the foundation consist of five jewels, this is blessing. Abide oneself on it, generate the palace.
