That's how it's done. It means, focusing on bindus and so on in the five senses, and fixing the mind on that, one should learn the arising, entering, and abiding, both. What is this called the two abidings? Abiding in the aspect of arising and entering. The root and the tip, the two. It means, relying on the aspect of arising, abiding at the tip is, first, focusing on the seed of the root, and then through the power of the breath arising from there, like a thread, rosary, or light, merging into the tip, the arising ceases, and as long as one focuses on its form, that is the abiding that relies on the aspect of arising. After that, in what way it gathers and manifests in its own place, that is the abiding that relies on the place of entering. The eye, ear, and tongue, the crown of the body, etc., at the end, any channel where the senses are open, has the color of faith. At the tip, each abides with its kind: vajra, jewel, lotus, sword, cross, the form of a wheel, or oṃ (ཨོཾ, oṃ, 唵, body), āḥ (ཨཱཿ, āḥ, 阿, speech), hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ, hūṃ, 吽, mind) and svāhā (སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, svāhā, 斯瓦哈, accomplishment), haṃ (ཧཾ, haṃ, 罕, emptiness). Again, with the bindu of the rosary. This is the summarizing verse. Furthermore, what is this called stopping the flow of breath? Any ear hole, where the breaths completely flow, that's why it's said like that. It means, anyone who focuses on the tip of the nose, all the breaths from the body gather, and holding onto the tip of the nose, this is the stopping of the breath. Then, how should the breath be focused on? On forms such as white, with letters or just focusing on illusion. It means, anyone from the heart etc. from where the five colors, three colors, and one color of light rays, and the inconceivable etc., wherever it exists, first, with the rosary of letters. After that, focusing on the light without the rosary. Then, the light also just focusing on illusion. What is with the rosary? How does anyone recite? Arising is the rosary of kāli, entering is the rosary of āli. Whatever arising and entering are, oṃ (ཨོཾ, oṃ, 唵, body) and hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ, hūṃ, 吽, mind) burn at the tip. It means, anyone who, when the breath arises, makes the breath with five colors run as the rosary of kāli, and at its tip visualizes the syllable hūṃ (ཧཱུཾ, hūṃ, 吽, mind), or,

Or, when tired, contemplate Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:om, literal meaning: Om). When the breath enters, visualize the five-colored rays of light, and the rosary of vowels (藏文:ཨཱ་ལི,梵文天城体:आलि,梵文罗马拟音:āli, literal meaning: Āli), with the top as before. What is there in that? Through body and letters, etc., possessing the nature of many recitations. It should be understood that the recitation here is shown to be diverse and immeasurable according to the type and object. So, what is the Vajra recitation based on here? Relying on the union of the nostrils, the wise ones accomplish it. This recitation, which stops the flow of breath, is accomplished by the yogi relying on his own nostrils, and not otherwise. Why is that? Because it is the path, because it is the support, and because it can be prevented, that is why it is called that. So, what is the lower recitation? It is said: "With the tip of the Vajra, the object is said to be in the lower realm." This means that the Vajra of means is blessed, and relying on it, one learns to arise, enter, and abide. Why is that? "To subdue those with desire, this union is taught." This means that for some sentient beings who are full of desire, who are particularly attached to desire, attached to the seed, and who have the power of union, this union should be taught. Furthermore, those who are called "desirous" are those who are particularly attached to and cling to the five objects of desire. So, if its antidote is to stop the flow of the senses, will it become meaningless? No, it is not. Those who like to rely on women are rightly called "desirous." So, if that is the case, will women not be able to achieve through relying on the path? That is true. "Relying on a woman with marks, one should recite." This means that one learns to arise, enter, and abide by relying on the Vajra and the letters of the secret channel, etc., as before. So, what is the recitation that relies on the central channel? "From the bindu in the center of the heart, whatever arises and enters, does not scatter elsewhere, but appears clearly there, that is the inner recitation." This means that one should contemplate the seed syllable in the center of the heart, and rely on and learn the breath that arises, enters, and abides from it. This is first
