That which is called "Ka" is the examination of the life-force wind. From the nature of the five Buddhas, the place where the life-force wind abides, those five lights become the life-force, and from the upper nostril, that is, the tip of the upper nostril, the son-position of the life-force definitely arises, and the sequence of rising, etc., definitely arises, and from the distinctions of left and right, etc., it becomes four kinds, and that itself becomes four kinds. This is also said to be the inner Kalachakra, and it should be especially understood. To fix a mustard seed on the tip of the nose is what the first of the summary verses said, explicitly stating one thing. The second explanation is led there, and the intermediate yogi should understand it. That which was said is: Meditate on a mustard seed on the tip of the nose. (Tibetan: སྣ་རྩེར་ཡུངས་ཀར་བསམ་པར་བྱ།) This is the meaning of this vajra word. This will show the Suchness of the wind and the Suchness of the mantra. With going and not going, on the mustard seed. (Tibetan: འགྲོ་མི་འགྲོ་བཅས་ཡུངས་ཀར་ལ།) This means that on the mustard seed, that is, the subtle wind element, as the support and the supported, with going and not going, that is, the three consciousnesses, the nature of Bodhi, should be contemplated, that is, should be recognized. This is to be practiced as Suchness. The place of wisdom is delightful. (Tibetan: ཡེ་ཤེས་གནས་ནི་ཉམས་དགའ་བ།) Observed by the great secret wisdom. (Tibetan: གསང་ཆེན་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་བརྟགས་པ།) This means that the place of wisdom, that is, this body of wind and consciousness, is the ultimate place of delight, because it is not the realm of the conceptual yogis, it is the nature of clear light wisdom. Observed by wisdom, this speaks of the Suchness of the deity. The nature of the five wisdoms just spoken of, the five lights, what are those, where do they come from, and how do they move in the upper nostril? Because it is not understood, the hidden place, etc., are spoken of, which is easy to understand. However, here the hidden place, etc., show the form of the wind moving in the four chakras, because it depends on the body, so the sequence of not moving, the sequence of moving is the same as others. The feet of the teacher Chandrakirti said in the extensive commentary on the Tantra: In the heart is the water chakra. (Tibetan: སྙིང་གར་ཆུ་ཡི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རོ།) In the hidden place is the fire chakra. (Tibetan: ལྐོག་མར་མེ་ཡི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རོ།) In the secret place is the great powerful chakra. (Tibetan: གསང་བར་དབང་ཆེན་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རོ།) In the navel is the wind chakra. (Tibetan: ལྟེ་བར་རླུང་གི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ཏེ།) These are the water chakra, etc.

Possessing gathered rays of light, it abides in all bodies. When these arise, relying on the distinctions of the stages such as quiescence, the going and coming are particularly shown by the stages of exhalation and inhalation, and the order of entering the four mandalas is in sequence, not exceeding the order of stages, so it abides for half a period, that is, it moves. Now, the determination of the deities by the difference in the color of the falling mandala is clear from the root itself. From "right" and so on, to the end of "cannot be realized by practicing yoga," it is easy to understand. Like this and so on, like this, through the order of briefly indicating and explaining in detail, the reality of the winds is shown separately, and now the reality of the mantra is to be shown. To this, first, briefly indicate the reality of the four kinds of mantras, that is, the great secret of the body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas is Om (ཨོཾ,梵文:ओ,Roman transliteration: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 嗡), Ah (ཨཱཿ,梵文:आ,Roman transliteration: āḥ, literal Chinese meaning: 啊), Hum (ཧཱུཾ,梵文:हुं,Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 吽). Because these three letters arise from this, it is called "proximate object," which is the form of the deity. It is called "the essence of all mantras, universally stimulating." It is called "extremely secret," which means showing that the mantra itself has no self-nature, and no self-nature is the ultimate bodhicitta. With one's own body, speech, and mind vajra, through the path of words, definitely expressing, like this, the abbreviated mantra is spoken, that is, reciting Om (ཨོཾ,梵文:ओ,Roman transliteration: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 嗡), Ah (ཨཱཿ,梵文:आ,Roman transliteration: āḥ, literal Chinese meaning: 啊), Hum (ཧཱུཾ,梵文:हुं,Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 吽) is expressing through language. The so-called "understanding the meaning" and so on, refers to understanding the meaning of the Om syllable and so on, such as entering. By understanding accordingly, that is, the recitation that is done by following accordingly. For this reason, it is without self-nature, that is, adorned by the indestructible, with the form of uninterruptedly radiating light. Of the Buddhas of the three times, that is, the Buddhas, the Tathagatas, who abide in the three times. Examination, that is, fully understanding by definitely examining, that is, comprehending with the indestructible nature of all Tathagatas. By this, symbolizing the reality of the mantra, it will be shown. Among the four kinds of mantras, the actually symbolizing mantra will be shown. If asked why, because it is the time when language is completely silent.
