Na, five colors, are said to be life and diligence. Thus it is said. The explanation of this brief statement is explained from the explanatory tantra of the Guhyasamaja Tantra, which prophesies the meaning. Thereafter, the Bhagavan Vajradhara, having spoken the meaning of the Vajra Essence, prostrated and again requested the sole protector of beings: If the Bodhicitta is well spoken of in worldly language, how can it transcend the world, and how will future beings realize it? In order to completely abandon all views, you show all dharmas, how will that Bodhicitta become a well-shown view? Those who are ignorant of the words of intent, not understanding the meaning of what is said, say that it is not other than what is said here, that is, they literally cling to the words. Thereafter, the Bhagavan Various Victors, said to Vajrapani: You have not understood the secret intent, it is good, very good to ask. Bodhicitta turns into wind, and abides in space, it is the life of all beings, it is the nature of five, having ten names, known as the twelve links of interdependence, the nature itself transforms into three. The Bodhicitta called wind, is the master of all senses, thus from the invisible subtle, it is said to be constantly manifest. Beings act from places etc., here it depends on it. Pacifying and increasing, as well as subjugating and such manifest actions, depending on those three places, all that is done by Bodhicitta. As long as the world is observed, and likewise various observations, from the wind of the discriminating Bodhicitta, it constantly arises. Happiness, suffering, and other dharmas, are said to be like seeds. The nature of this Bodhicitta, is equal to space where aggregates etc. do not exist as dualistic entities. By the union of wisdom and skillful means, Bodhicitta becomes a traveler. Abandoning reading and meditation etc., the master himself repeats, distinguishing between day and night, the sun and moon are completely united. The one wind of Bodhicitta, which pervades by being without things, if it abandons the fruits of virtue and non-virtue, it becomes like space. Thus it is said. The Vajra disciple requested: It is said to be the nature of the five winds, having ten names.

The Bhagavan, drawing near with compassion, requested a further explanation of the distinction of each name. The Vajra Master said: That which is taught should be liberated from the very tantra of what has just been said. Then the Tathagatas, all, and the Bodhisattvas, will enter in order to please that Lord of the Tathagatas. Life-breath and downward-clearing, upward-moving, pervading and equally-abiding are spoken of, as well as dragon, turtle, crocodile, god-given and victorious-from-the-bow. Those forms of myself (referring to the main deity) are transformed into women, and again emanated. These ten winds are joined equally with all the Buddhas, and are spoken of from the supreme state of bliss of the Dakini, not in a literal sense, namely: Koṭakhya, Koṭava, Koṭa, Koṭavaścaśa, Koṭīragaḥ, Kolakhya, Kolava, Kola, Kolavaśca, Kolatathā. These ten names are also explained as the ten winds in a literal sense from the great yoga tantra called Vajra Gate: life-breath and downward-clearing, abiding together with fire, upward-moving, pervading, moving, transforming, rightly moving, excellently moving, and definitely moving. The Vajra disciple asked: Where do the ten winds, such as the one called life-breath, abide in this body, and what do they do? Please, Bhagavan Vajra Master, the teacher, explain. The Vajra Master said: The five winds abide in the parts of the body and perform the functions of the body. The five winds abide in the sense bases such as the eyes and perform the functions of the senses. Among them, the wind called life-breath abides in the heart, and is the Tathagata Akshobhya. The downward-clearing abides in the anus, and is the Tathagata Ratnasambhava. The upward-moving abides in the throat, and is the Tathagata Amitabha. The one abiding together with fire abides in the navel, and is the Tathagata Amoghasiddhi. The pervading abides in all the joints, and is the Tathagata Vairochana. The moving wind is form. The transforming wind is sound. The rightly moving wind is smell. The excellently moving wind is taste. The definitely moving wind is touch.
