All that has been thoroughly known by the Tathagata. From what causes do those streams of mind arise, and by what causes are they exhausted and separated? Whether it is shown to be virtuous, non-virtuous, predicted, or unpredicted, all of these, with their aspects, with their bases, and with their reasons, are thoroughly known by the Tathagata. All beings in the present time, whether virtuous, non-virtuous, predicted, or unpredicted, that arise in the streams of mind, whatever mind arises under whatever mind, all of these, with their aspects, with their places, and with their origins, are thoroughly known by the Tathagata. All future beings, with their streams of mind, and the dharmas that arise from the mind, whether virtuous, non-virtuous, predicted, or unpredicted, whatever mind will arise under whatever mind, all of these, with their aspects, with their places, and with their origins, are thoroughly known by the Tathagata. Son of good family, thus the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha, is endowed with unobstructed wisdom. It is said. By this reasoning, a wise person who abides in the samadhi of the mind, having abandoned the manifest attachment to various external objects such as the petitioner, the prayer, and the object of prayer, will manifestly turn towards the gate of blessing oneself. In the root tantra, it is said, "Son of good family, by abiding in equanimity, individually realize your own mind." Relying on the tantra thus explained, following the appearance of one's own nature, those sentient beings who do not truly realize their own mind as it is and speak of actions, from beginningless samsara, by the bonds of karma and afflictions arising from the discrimination of their own mind, like a silkworm, they themselves accumulate a great heap of suffering, and from one life to another, they experience the ripening of the fruits of the accumulated virtuous and non-virtuous actions, and then gradually enter the mandala of ultimate truth, completely abandoning the aggregates, by the wind element.

Having taken it, it possesses feeling and is bound by craving, completely grasped by the memory arising from the common cause of the realm of Dharma, possessing a mind with aspects of virtue and non-virtue, seeing everything like a five-year-old child, with all faculties complete, consuming the food of odors, not obstructed even by Vajra and others, and possessing all characteristics, possessing the power of karmic miracles, existing for the duration of seven suns appearing, from the karma arising from one's own discrimination, virtue and non-virtue becoming eons, having obtained cause and condition, in the five realms of beings, in the manner of the turning of a water bucket, again and again taking rebirth, and will experience the suffering of samsara. The fourth chapter, "Cutting Doubts by Compiling Scattered Thoughts," is complete. Chapter Five: Cutting Doubts by Compiling the Differentiation of the Limits of Karma. The Vajra disciple asked: Blessed One, I would like to ask about other various kinds of consciousness. Blessed One, if the appearance of the three consciousnesses is formless, and the element of wind is also formless, and karma is also formless, similarly, since these do not have mutual awareness, Blessed One, if you have taught emptiness from the words of the scriptures, then how can virtuous and non-virtuous karma bind the body of the mind's nature from beginningless samsara? Similarly, if the virtues and non-virtues of these one hundred and sixty natures are accumulated, and they themselves arise and completely perish in an instant, then how can they be clearly perceived again and again in the next world? Or do those virtues and non-virtues arise from other things? Or do they arise from the imprints of one's own mind? I beseech the Blessed One, the Vajra Acharya Teacher, to completely dispel these regrets of mine. The Vajra Acharya said: Great being, well done, well done! Completely knowing the purity of karma is very profound, it is the realm of activity of the Buddhas, son of lineage, this is not for those who are beginners in karma and those who speak of karma. Therefore, with scriptures and reason, etc.

Listen attentively with great effort to distinctly understand the purity arising from the earth. First, establish the intrinsic nature of virtuous and non-virtuous actions. The paths of action of the ten virtues and their opposites are the paths of action of the ten non-virtues. The Blessed One stated in the Vajra Pinnacle Tantra that these paths of action arise entirely from body, speech, and mind. Therefore, one should engage in them. The Blessed One said: Secret Lord, listen! Misconduct of the body is threefold. Misconduct of speech is fourfold. Misconduct of mind is threefold. These will cause sentient beings to fall into misery. Vajrapani requested: Blessed One, please explain the detailed divisions of misconduct of body and misconduct of speech, and how many kinds of misconduct of mind there are. Sugata, please explain! The Blessed One said: Secret Lord, misconduct itself is either heavy or ordinary. Killing or beating one's parents, gurus, and so forth, is heavy misconduct. Taking life and other paths of non-virtuous action are ordinary misconduct. What is misconduct of speech? Speaking words that abandon the sacred Dharma is itself misconduct of speech. Speaking harsh words to one's parents, gurus, and so forth, is heavy misconduct of speech. When some individuals diligently practice and engage in virtuous deeds, saying things like "There is no afterlife," uttering vast lies that cut off virtuous actions, as well as speaking idle words, slander, and words of non-virtuous actions, are ordinary misconduct of speech. Misconduct of mind is: First, dullness, whose nature is the misconduct of the mind of the nature of mind, as well as the misconduct of the nature of mental factors, and the misconduct of the nature of ignorance. Vajrapani requested: Mind
