That which is well explained through the word 'now' is the unconditioned nature, without beginning or end. As it is said in the Sutra of One Mode of Presentation: 'This Dharma is prophesied by sounds, Dharma and sounds do not change here, the Dharma-nature, being one mode, also enters into reality, and one will touch the supreme, unsurpassed patience.' Furthermore, in the Tantra of the Conduct called 'The Manifestation of the All-Illuminating One's Enlightenment': 'Secret Lord, moreover, the characteristic of mantra is that it is not made by all the Tathagatas, nor caused to be made, nor is it rejoiced in. Why is that? This is the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas. For example, whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, the Dharma-nature of Dharmas has always been abiding. Likewise, the Dharma-nature of the mantras of mantras. Furthermore, Secret Lord, there is a vidya-mantra called 'that which intoxicates the lord of the desire realm.' With this, all the sons of the gods who enjoy desire are made to faint with intoxication, and it also shows delightful places full of many kinds of flowers, and it also manifests various kinds of enjoyments and close enjoyments, and it also gives to the gods of Paranirmitavasavartin, and one also enjoys oneself. For example, the son of the gods, the Great Lord, has a mantra called 'Swift Mind.' With this, in the three thousand great thousand world realms, he does the needs of sentient beings and manifests all close enjoyments and enjoyments, and he also gives to the sons of the gods of the Pure Abode realms, and he also universally enjoys himself. For example, like a magician shows various kinds of different appearances such as pleasure gardens, lakes, rivers, and people by means of mantras. For example, the Asuras show illusions by means of mantras. For example, by means of mantras, poisons and plagues and so on disappear. For example, the goddesses called Matri goddesses send away infectious diseases by means of mantras. For example, by means of mantras, the heat of fire is made to disappear and becomes cold.
