"Supreme" and so on refer to the supreme great Vajradhara, who is the aspect of union. Because the ultimate truth is beyond learning. Its samaya is the means to manifest the union of the nature of learning and non-learning, because it does not transcend it. Those who are controlled by it are the independent ones, that is, those who are proficient in the nature of self-blessing and the stages of manifest enlightenment being inseparable. It is called "those who manifest it." This shows that the stages of union have reached their ultimate completion. Having thus made a brief exposition of the perfect retinue, wishing to show the main branches of its extensive explanation, it is said, "As many as there are to complete the wheel of the mandala, so many are the assemblies of the retinue, and so on." This shows that it is counted completely by direct perception. The so-called "Samaya Vajra" is because the nature of all activities is the nature of all samayas, and because the samaya is given again to those who have lost their samaya through their yoga, and because the skandha of formation is completely purified, it is the Unfailing Accomplishment, the Samaya Vajra. The so-called "Bodhisattva" is that enlightenment is the nature of the three bodies, because all dharmas are realized as they are. The sattva of that is called Bodhisattva for whoever has the desire to manifest intention. The so-called "Mahasattva" is that great means benefiting others, and whoever has the intention to benefit others is called Mahasattva. This second samaya is said to have the perfection of self and other benefits. The so-called "Wrath Vajra" is that wrath is the complete purification of wrath, because it is the nature of suchness. That is the vajra, because it is the nature of emptiness. Or, for the object of the skandha of consciousness, any ordinary arrogance is wrath, so it is wrath, and it is also vajra, because it is the wisdom of the completely pure dharmadhatu, the Wrath Vajra is Akshobhya. The so-called "Desire Vajra" is desire.

For the sake of complete purification, desire is both desire and vajra, because it is the nature of emptiness, therefore it is desire vajra. Or, desire is the attachment to the beginningless, ordinary conceptualization of the aggregate of consciousness. It is both desire and vajra, because it is the wisdom of distinct all-knowing, therefore desire vajra is Amitabha. The so-called constant vajra, for the object of the body, the aggregate of form, grasping what is constant, it is both constant and vajra, because realizing emptiness, therefore constant vajra is Vairochana. Or, with the nature of mirror-like wisdom, constantly abiding in that very nature, therefore constant is Vairochana, and also vajra, because it is its nature, therefore it is constant vajra. So-called wisdom vajra, wisdom is the wisdom of equality. Wisdom is both wisdom and vajra, because realizing that the aggregate of feeling is emptiness. Wisdom vajra is Ratnasambhava. Or, wisdom with the characteristic of being elevated by the seven kinds of pride is also vajra, because for it, experiencing the nature of emptiness, therefore wisdom vajra is that very nature. The so-called earth vajra, because realizing that the solid nature of the earth element is emptiness, therefore the earth element is Locana. Or, whatever is solid in one's own body is earth, because realizing that it is unobtainable, therefore earth vajra is that very nature. The so-called water vajra, the nature of moisture, such as water, their vajra is because of experiencing the nature of emptiness. Therefore, water vajra is Mamaki. Or, the nature of moisture, such as blood, belonging to one's own body is water, they are vajra because of experiencing emptiness, therefore water vajra is that very nature. The so-called fire vajra, the nature of warmth is fire, its vajra is the same as before, fire vajra is Pandaravasini. Or, the warmth abiding in one's own body is fire, its vajra is the same as before, fire vajra is that very nature. The so-called wind vajra, etc., because it is the nature of moving, therefore it is wind. Its vajra is the same as before.

For the sake of realizing non-objectification, it is the Wind Vajra Tara. Or, what is to be accomplished by one's own body, such as going and coming, etc., is wind. Therefore, for the sake of realizing emptiness, the Wind Vajra is that itself. Bodhisattva Mahasattva, as previously stated. The so-called "being the chief of such," refers to the Five Tathagatas and the Four Goddesses being the chief deities, etc. The so-called "related to the lineage of great samaya," the great samaya is the Great Vajradhara. The so-called "related to its lineage," means truly arising from that lineage. Or, the great samaya is Amoghavajra. Because taking the vows of all Buddhas' samaya-samvara, etc., as the preliminary, through hearing, thinking, and meditating on the two stages, one attains that state. That lineage refers to the lineage of karma related to that tantra, in order to enter the lineage without omission, and because it is the nature of all activities. If asked how many in number? Therefore, it is said, "Seventy-two thousand Bodhisattvas," because the purity of the seventy-two thousand roots is the nature of skillful means and wisdom. The meaning of the word Bodhisattva has been explained before. Furthermore, the so-called "hundreds of millions of billions of Bodhisattvas inseparable from the great lineage," the so-called "others" refers to those others. The so-called "great lineage" refers to the lineage of the Great Vajradhara. The so-called "related to this" refers to those belonging to that lineage. The so-called "Bodhisattva" refers to the practitioners of the mantra path. The distinction of those is that they are fully practiced by the number of ten hundred thousand, and the distinction of numbers is distinguished by that much, a billion is a million. The so-called "hundred million" is the same as before. Thus, after explaining the main extensive explanation, in order to explain the explanation that becomes its branch, therefore, it is said, "For example," etc. The so-called "walking in the sky," etc., the word sky refers to the sky existing in the ear faculty, walking in the sky there is sound, the sound of the Vajra...
