The aggregates of things existing in the three realms are not truly existent. As it is said: 'That which is contemplated as self and dharma, which accommodates various forms, that is also the moving and changing consciousness.' Thus it is said. Similarly, the thing called 'self' does not exist. How can one speak of an agent? If there is a nature of phenomena, the thoughts of worldly people towards phenomena will change. The aggregates are not the self, there it is not that, here it is not that, this is not non-that. Self and aggregates are like fire and wood, not mixed, how can the self exist?' Thus it is said. By the gate of negating Ishvara and so on, the second liberation called signlessness is shown. 'In order to avert aspirations' and so on, it is explained in order to completely negate the conceptualization of the aspect of autonomy. Thus, the thing and its agent, if negated by the absence of valid cognition, then the conceptualization that contradicts its meaning will also not be established. Thus, the proponents of mere appearance assert as follows: This appearance is only consciousness, and there is no object, because it is separate from one and many. How the collection of things of various, infinite, and vast natures appears is the individual appearance of consciousness. For example, whatever thing, its own nature of appearance exists, and whatever is not its own appearance does not exist. Forms and other things are the appearance of others. That which causes them to appear is the consciousness that truly exists, and the meaning of external objects is imputed by illusion, because consciousness is the aspect of the object, like the consciousness of two moons appearing separately. If external objects truly exist, then at that time, in the corpse of a woman, this impermanent consciousness will arise, and not something different. The corpse of a woman is only one, monks, the greedy, dogs, etc., call it a corpse, a desire-mother, food, three different thoughts arise. Thus it is said. Similarly, the meaning of the appearance of day and night, like the simile of a blind person, the sound of what is known inside is heard, and it becomes similar together with the appearance. An impure mountain deer, eats fire, a poisonous mouse eats poison, even if it eats it, it does not die.
