Because this self-nature does not exist, since one and many are separate, it is unobtainable like an image, because pervasiveness is unobtainable. Therefore, things do not exist. Because there is no need to meditate. This means that even meditation with knowable objects does not exist. Or, as the scripture says, "All beings' things, delightful when unexamined." When not practicing with unobtainable yoga. However, if it is thought that merely appearing things are the object, then at that time, things seem to exist, if it is thought so. To this, I say, the so-called meditation on existence refers to the meditation on things that appear in a completely examined way, whether it is recollection or abiding, which is unreasonable. Because even without meditation, it exists. Its meaning is that if the examined thing is produced from itself, then what is produced from itself does not depend on others, so there is no need for meditation. Or, if it is said that things are produced from others, then at that time, it cannot be called existence, because it arises from dependent origination. As the scripture says, "That which arises from that, that is not born from that. That which is unborn by nature, how can it be born?" Therefore, even in the aspect of arising from others, meditation is not necessary. If it is thought that through unobtainable yoga, things become non-existent, and then by preventing the meditation on existence, meditation also does not exist. Therefore, in order to refute that some things are a mixture of existence and non-existence, the so-called possessing things that are non-existent and existent, if it is a thing, then obtaining self-nature from itself and the collection consistent with itself, doing meaningful things, therefore it will never turn into the side of lacking the nature of all things' abilities. The non-existence of things is also like a rabbit's horn, unable to express the lack of ability to do meaningful things, then how can it obtain the status of things? Because it has the contradiction of mutually exclusive natures. Precisely because of this, a thing is both a thing and a non-thing, so it is unreasonable to use two terms on one thing. However, the thing itself

If someone asks: How can momentariness and non-momentariness, which are mutually contradictory, exist in the same thing? Answer: The thing itself and the moment itself are two things, which is reasonable. However, whatever is the moment itself, that is the thing itself. Those who say that things are permanent, because they produce similar other things, have deluded wisdom and think that this permanent thing is unique. When causes of destruction such as hammers are encountered, those with ignorant wisdom will think that the vase is destroyed. But in reality, the vase is destroyed from the beginning, because it is momentary. Therefore, in order to eliminate the errors of those who say that things are permanent, one should analyze and argue through the distinction between the thing itself and the moment itself, and the wise have established the relationship between argumentation and being argued. Therefore, in order to eliminate errors, inference ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa,valid cognition) should be shown. For those who are good at grasping the nature of things with all differences, is there no ability to grasp the moment of direct perception? However, for things that are determined to be unable to grasp parts, the corresponding measure should also be shown. The difference separated from the part is: direct perception can also grasp, and for those who are sure to recognize the difference, that is what is recognized. Because it has been said like this. Similarly, things and non-things should not be said to be the same nature, because they are the objects of different valid cognitions ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa,valid cognition). Among them, the thing that can function, inseparable from its own characteristics, without confusion, clearly appearing, will be determined by sense direct perception. Non-things also have the characteristic of being away from all functions, and because they do not appear, they should be called "non-existent." In this way, what can establish and negate, the objects of direct perception and inference, things and non-things, how can they be the nature of the same thing? If it is said that one thing has two natures, shouldn't it be understood by negating the two natures? For example, saying that this vase is not a meat-eater. If so, then the meat-eater will also be seen. Similarly, if a thing with the nature of existence is mixed with the part of a non-thing...
