O! Therefore, the so-called "self" does not exist according to the reasoning previously stated. Then, from where do the dharmas such as permanence arise? The so-called "self" has no entity, so how can one speak of an agent? If there is a subject of dharma, worldly people will deeply contemplate the dharma. The skandhas are not the self, and the self is not there. The self is not there, nor is it not there. It is not mixed like fire and wood, therefore, how can the self exist? Thus it is said. Its meaning is: it is unreasonable to say "I am the skandhas," because through the relationship of self-nature, I will become impermanent like the skandhas. The view of the rationalists is that the "self" is stable. In order to eliminate that fault, if one asserts "I possess the skandhas," then permanence and impermanence, etc., will not become the relationship of support and supported. The relationship of support and supported does not exist between permanence and impermanence. Thus it is said. Then, if one thinks that the support is permanent and the supported is impermanent? The answer is: it will not become the relationship of support and supported. The relationship of support and supported is the relationship of cause and effect, because of the inability to benefit, the supported is unreasonable. Being able to benefit and being able to bestow benefit, this is the relationship of support and supported. Because the cause can benefit the effect, if it is not abiding in the dharma of its own nature, it will not arise, so it will definitely bestow benefit. The effect is also the same, if it has not obtained the abiding dharma from the cause, it will not arise. Therefore, if one admits that the self and the skandhas are the relationship of cause and effect, then the skandhas are impermanent, and the self will also become impermanent. If the self is permanent, then the skandhas will also become permanent. This is not seen, because it contradicts the tenets of one's own and others' schools. Furthermore, even if the self is the support, it is also the cause, and if the skandhas are the effect produced from the self, then they will perish. In both views, it will become impermanent. If one thinks that the self exists in the skandhas, then, as before, the relationship of support and supported will not be established. Even so, similarly, the skandhas are the support, because they are the cause, the effects will definitely not arise.

Oh, because the aggregates do not give rise to self, I also do not change. If they arise occasionally, then at that time they will eliminate me. Whatever arises occasionally is not permanent, like a traveler on the road, so it itself is impermanent. If it is thought that the aggregates and I are not different from each other, like fire and firewood, then, just as firewood turns into charcoal, I, who am called fire, will attain the nature of the aggregates, and be called by the name of the aggregates, which is actually admitting extreme impermanence. Therefore, these four views are not good. Similarly, having negated various bases on the form aggregate, it should also be understood that the views that assert the feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness as self are also negated. Thus, this negates the view of the perishable collection arising from the twenty mountain peak views. In this way, it negates the view of those who consider the entire cycle of samsara as a name, and through the reasoning of the illusion wheel, consider samsara as self. The assertion that the self of the powerful one, the creator of all, and the destroyer of all, manifested through three powers, is great, is contradictory, because if he is the creator and destroyer of all, why does he not do or destroy immediately? He does not do it, so it is not done gradually, because that itself is impermanent. Because at the time when he does, he has the power, and at other times he does not have it, so this is dependent. Dependent power does not exist, because it depends on doing simultaneously, like a pot. Therefore, there is no powerful one. Creation and the agent, necessarily nature, and time and constellations and the powerful deity, and the transgressor, merit, Yama, the terminator, are various expressions of manifested names. Some people think so. For this, through the word creator, these things are produced and destroyed, and if he alone is the cause of samsara, this is also unreasonable, because there is no other manifestation in the three realms manifested by the habitual tendencies of one's own karma, because that has been negated before. Actions of body, speech, and mind, virtuous and non-virtuous.
