The explanation of clarity is to show that it is all-pervasive by the very nature of suchness, but it is not completely perfect in itself. The very act done is the samadhi of union. As it is said: This is the perfect yoga, the great Vajradhara himself, possessing all supreme aspects, the all-knowing also arises from that. Similarly, it is also said: Having dwelt in the samadhi of union, what else is there to learn again? Therefore, relying on the five stages, a single yogi attains accomplishment in the state of fruition. The meaning of the eighteenth chapter is that which is to be attained by a single yogi, like the state of Vajradhara. The eighteenth chapter of the root tantra does not show the yogis meditating on each of the eighteen individually, but only one. Apart from the two stages, nothing else is said. The practitioner of those is one, as previously stated. The distinction of individuals is speakable by the distinction of what is said. The Bhagavan Buddhas, endowed with skillful means, knowing the differences in the minds of sentient beings, and the differences in the continuums of sentient beings, taught in accordance with them. They did not teach differences with regard to the result, because it is of one nature. The paths are only different, and it is not to establish the difference of suchness, which is the result of the paths, like a great city to be reached by many paths. Even the single suchness of different inclinations is apprehended differently by the listeners. For example, the Shravakas apprehend it through the door of cessation samadhi, while the Sutrantikas apprehend it through the door of the appearance of separate external objects that are inferred accordingly. The Sākāra-vijñānavādins apprehend it through the door of the existence of external objects in the form of knowledge, while the Nirākāra-vijñānavādins apprehend it through the door of the existence of only one consciousness, which is necessarily liberated from external objects, like the immaculate, boundless sky. Some Madhyamikas also apprehend it as liberated from the grasped and the grasper, utterly peaceful and

It is grasped solely through the absence of elaboration, by the nature of emptiness appearing as individual phenomena, and by the yogi of the Action Tantra through merely meditating on the form of the deity, and by the yogi of the Performance Tantra through meditating on the mantra body endowed with accomplishments, samadhi, and magical powers. The yogi who primarily practices the Yoga Tantra, the yogi who primarily practices mantras and mudras, grasps it through the stages of meditation on the great mandala of Vajradhatu and so forth. The yogi of the Great Yoga Tantra grasps it through the two stages. Among them, the yogi of the generation stage grasps Suchness through the three samadhis. The yogi of the completion stage grasps Suchness through grasping the subtle yoga. Some also assert that it is grasped through the stages of meditating on the yoga of bindus. Some also grasp it through meditating on the channels in which the channels circulate everywhere. Some also grasp it through the mandala of vows. Some also grasp it within that, the secret mandala, through the secret empowerment. Others grasp it solely through grasping the mind of enlightenment. Others also grasp it through reversing it upwards. Some also grasp it through the stages of meditation on enjoying objects and faculties and individually withdrawing them. Others also grasp it through the stages of the five contemplations, such as discriminating and examining the nature of its completely pure essence, the nature of the five Tathagatas. Some also definitely grasp Suchness through the nature of the three winds that move above and below, namely the life wind and the working wind. Similarly, others also grasp it by holding the three tips of the nose, holding the wind, mantra, and bodhicitta bindu. Some also grasp it by emanating infinite emanations, filling the expanse of space, and meditating on the limb of recollection. Some also grasp it through the stages of non-dual samadhi, gathering all things closely and abandoning one and many and so forth. Some grasp it by meditating on the Suchness of mantra or the Suchness of wind. Some also grasp it through the stages of mantra and mudra and so forth. Some.
