External phenomena are form, etc. These forms, etc., are empty by emptiness, which is external emptiness. Internal and external phenomena are empty by the nature of internal and external phenomena, which is internal-external emptiness. That which is empty by all phenomena is empty by that itself, which is the emptiness of emptiness. The directions such as east are empty by the nature of the directions such as east, which is great emptiness. Ultimate truth is nirvana, and that nirvana is also empty by the emptiness of nirvana, which is the emptiness of ultimate truth. Conditioned phenomena are the three realms: the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. Those (three realms) are empty by those themselves, which is conditioned emptiness. That which is free from arising, abiding, and ceasing is unconditioned phenomena, and that (unconditioned phenomena) is empty by that itself, which is the emptiness of the unconditioned. Permanence and annihilation are extremes, and those (permanence and annihilation) are empty by those themselves, which is the emptiness of transcending extremes. Whatever has no beginning and no end, that has no true entity, there is no going and coming, because it is empty of beginning, middle, and end, which is the emptiness of no beginning and no end. Abandoning is discarding, and returning from that (discarding) is non-abandoning, and it is empty by that (non-abandoning) itself, which is the emptiness of non-abandoning. Whatever is the nature of all phenomena, that is not made by anyone, nor is it unconditioned phenomena, it is empty by its own nature, which is emptiness of own nature. All phenomena are conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, and those are empty by those themselves, which is the emptiness of all phenomena. All phenomena are empty by their respective characteristics of form, etc., which is the emptiness of own characteristics. It is empty by past, future, and present, which is the emptiness of unobtainability. The characteristics of phenomena arising from combination do not exist, because they arise from dependent origination. Combination is empty by combination itself, which is essence. It is empty by its own nature, which is the emptiness of own essence. The nature of non-entity, that entity is empty by that itself, which is the emptiness of the nature of non-entity. Therefore, eighteen emptinesses are taught. Therefore, liberation.

Having attained the three, in the post-meditation of the vajra-like samadhi, the Bodhisattva attains Bodhi on the twelfth ground, the Ground of Universal Light, therefore, that is the perfectly complete Buddha. In that direction, there is no manifest attachment to desirable objects by the Hearers and others, because they have abandoned the manifestation of emptiness. As it is said: Things are like clothes, Different in many ways, If burned by the fire of emptiness, There is no distinction of ashes. The world of containers and sentient beings, After being burned by these two worlds, Now also, like a lamp, They will become peaceful. Thus it is said. Urged by previous aspirations and great compassion, the purpose of sentient beings is accomplished, so there is no side of annihilation. Constantly dwelling in samadhi that is free from all elaborations, there is also no side of permanence, thus the emptiness proponents, we Mahayana practitioners, are the sect of samadhi that unites the nature of tranquility and insight. Then, there is also liberation without effort, why is it not shown? It is true that it exists. However, being accustomed to the third, it is spontaneously accomplished without effort, like a drop of water. Therefore, although it is the cause of Bodhi, it is also the result because it is very close, there is no fault whatsoever. If those Madhyamikas say that there is no self-nature, then the Great Vehicle of Mantras becomes distinguished by many methods. As it is said: Because they are not confused about the same meaning, there is no asceticism with many methods. Relying on those with sharp faculties, the Mantra Vehicle is particularly superior. Thus it is said. There, just as the Paramita yogis attain the nature of the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, so too will the Great Vehicle of Mantras attain it, so there is no inverted grasping of the result. However, they have ignorance, for example, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, out of great compassion, in order to perfect the perfection of generosity, gives heads and so on to those who seek, but by those they do not become the perfection of generosity.
