Those places also descended in the same way. Due to the force of the arising of habitual tendencies, they became symbols of women and men, and due to mutual connection, the names of beings and the four castes also arose. In order to protect grains such as rice that ripen without plowing, kings such as Limitless Fame appeared. Due to the power of the distinction between self and other, the clinging to "I" and "mine" arose. Its root is afflictions such as desire, and the virtuous and non-virtuous actions arising from them, and its cause is good and bad destinies, just like the turning of a water wheel, it became the cycle of complete wandering in a solitary place. Then, the Bhagavan Vajradhara, the Great Being, seeing the realm of sentient beings disturbed by the five afflictions in the time of the five degenerations, knowing that these could not be subdued by other paths such as the Hearers, thought that only afflictions could pacify all afflictions, and manifested the five Tathagatas endowed with seductive and other aspects, the very nature of the five wisdoms. These Tathagatas, in the heavenly abode of Tushita, prayed to Vajrasattva who dwells in a palace of the nature of the seven precious jewels, and the Bhagavan also manifested a mandala in the lotus of the vidya, and after empowering the Tathagatas with the vidya, manifested it externally, and taught the Suchness, that is the connection of the Tathagatas. The Bhagavan himself, in order to guide those of the desire lineage, manifested four goddesses, and after they had fully inquired, he spoke the Suchness, that is the connection of the goddesses. In order to guide sentient beings who abide in the afflictions of intense attachment to the senses, he manifested a gathering of Bodhisattvas and taught the Suchness, that is the connection of the Bodhisattvas. Whatever was spoken, such as the explanatory tantras in which Indra fully inquired, is the connection of the gods. Whatever tantras were taught, such as the arising of Tara for the non-humans, nagas, and sages, is the connection of the non-humans.

O! Like the kings such as Radiantly Clear Moon, having taught the Dharma in eighteen cities in the central region, this is the connection of people. Thus, when the six connections are expanded, they can be briefly summarized into two types: the connection of sound and meaning, and the connection of the teacher and retinue. As it is said: By distinguishing treatises and individuals, Connections are considered to be of two types. A treatise is the connection of sound and meaning, It is the other side of teaching and listening. The distinctions of the second type are six, Coming in succession from one to another. By distinguishing Tathagatas and others, It is spoken by the wise and renowned ones. Thus it appears. Here, there is only the connection of the Tathagata, because the five Tathagatas prayed to the central chief deity, thus showing the connection. The so-called "purpose" is to attain the state of the great Vajradhara, which becomes the object to be accomplished through the sequence of hearing, thinking, and meditating. Having attained that, placing all beings of the three realms in that state is the necessity of the necessity because the task has been accomplished. Others say that realization through the sequence of hearing and so on is the purpose. Furthermore, transforming the ordinary body and accomplishing the form of a deity transcending the world is the necessity of the necessity, but that is not reasonable. Because Bodhisattvas do not strive to accomplish their own benefit, they mainly focus on the benefit of others, not their own. As it is said: Benefiting all beings, self and other, The state of the Tathagata arises alongside that. Thus it appears. Therefore, only benefiting others is the main purpose. Otherwise, one's own benefit does not become a necessity. Like the two kinds of knowledge that appear to be accomplished and appear to be the activity of meaning. For example, at the time of first opening the eyes, although one can perform activities of meaning such as burning and cooking, they only appear separately as fire and so on, because there is no activity of meaning. The knowledge of actually performing activities such as burning and cooking after obtaining fire and so on is said to be the appearance of the activity of meaning. Because the task has been accomplished in that very moment. Whatever performs the activity of meaning exists in the ultimate sense, thus it is said.
