Thus, the five levels of explanation of the six-edged, as previously stated, and will also be explained. Now, in order to praise the glorious Guhyasamaja, which relies on it to explain, and to show the three letters, even when mentioning "how many" etc., and the ra-la etc. that need to be clarified, and how many vowel categories there are without which they cannot arise, their roots all arise from these three letters. The meaning is this: the life-force arising from the navel meets with the eight chakras, and due to the distinction between vowels and consonants, eight categories arise. These categories also dissolve into the first letter of each category, then again become four, and through the distinction of male, female, and neuter, become three letters. Therefore, the conclusion on this is: the letter Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable) gives rise to letters from ka to ma etc.; the letter Oṃ (ཨོཾ,oṃ,seed syllable) gives rise to ya etc. located in the middle; the letter A (ཨ,a,seed syllable) gives rise to sixteen vowel letters. Without vowels, consonants cannot be expressed, such as ke khe ghe de etc. Therefore, by including ya etc., all vowels are also included. Since this is the case, if ka etc. should be mentioned first, then how to mention ya etc.? Because there is no reason to abandon the order. Some say that there is a lineage of ya etc., because they are the root of karma, so they have been mentioned before. It is also said in the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara: "Through the meaning of ya, anything is possible. If you want accomplishment, then through the three letters ra etc., you can fully enter into action." Others say that the thirty-two letters of the branches of the glorious Guhyasamaja Yoga Great Tantra, there are thirty-two Great Yoga Tantras, and they all end with consonants such as ka etc. For example, the Jñānavajrasamuccaya Tantra ends with ya, the Vajradhara Tantra ends with ra, the Vajramala Tantra ends with la, and the Vajragraha Tantra ends with ha. Likewise, other tantras ending with consonants should also be known. Their three letters

The one who speaks is the glorious Guhyasamaja alone, the root. Moreover, in order to show that it is not only the sole root of the yoga tantras, but also becomes the root of the twelve branches of scripture, it is said, "The collection of the Great Sage's teachings," and so forth. The Great Sage is Shakya Simha. There are eighty-four thousand collections of teachings, and the glorious Guhyasamaja is the container for all of them, it is the wish-fulfilling jewel of that alone. "Abiding in it or arising from it" is the remainder of the sentence. Therefore, this is the pinnacle of the tantras. "This is the pinnacle of the tantras" means that it is the crest jewel of the great yoga tantras. The intention is that the teachings of the Bhagavan, spoken in order to purify body, speech, and mind, have been abbreviated in this tantra and taught with easy methods. Or, all the categories of mantras and the activities of body, etc., also arise from these three syllables alone, therefore, relying on that, the glorious Guhyasamaja alone is the pinnacle of the tantras. The measure of the collections of teachings is that one row of barley and the letters written with the tip of a pig bristle on the leaves of the tala tree are filled, and the load of barley that is filled, as much as a strong ox can carry, that is one collection of teachings. By that number, it is eighty-four thousand. That is an approximation, the Hearers' canon is eighty-four thousand collections of teachings, the Mahayana is ninety thousand, and the Mantra Vehicle is one hundred thousand. Now, in order to show that because the meaning is profound, it is difficult for the listener to understand this tantra, it is said, "Few words but many meanings." It fully shows the two stages. This tantra has few words, so it is beneficial to the listener with concise intelligence. If that is so, because there are few that speak, there are few that are spoken, wouldn't it become unworthy of acceptance? Therefore, it is said, "Many meanings," it fully shows the two stages. The intention is that all the action tantras, etc., and all the meanings of the collections of teachings, all of those are like reflections in a mirror.
