Gradually, transforming the ordinary body into the characteristics of the Vajra body that transcends the world, attaining all the activities of the Great Vajradhara. After that, making all beings also become Vajradharas, because it is considered the most essential of necessities, one will be satisfied and act upon the perfection of this treatise. Therefore, entering from the doubt of meaning is the only reasonable approach. Because what is universally recognized by others is not obvious, in order to explain that the reason relied upon by the opponent is not established, the characteristics of statements and so on will be explained. Here, when composing the connection, the teacher Chandrakirti composes the prostration to the deity he favors, which has three aspects: accordance, subsequent accordance, and both. Accordance means that which does not contradict the treatise, but is not the intention of the treatise's author. For example, "Beyond the land of glorious abundance," etc., the first of the Pratimoksha's explanations, prostration to the Bhagavan who is free from desire. Subsequent accordance means that which does not contradict the treatise, but is solely the author's personal intention. For example, "Speech is the supreme means of realization, having bowed to the protector of the world," like the prostration in the first connection of the Garland of Lights. This is not in accordance with the statement of the treatise, but because it is the tutelary deity of the commentator, it is subsequent accordance. Both means that which is stated and intended by both the treatise and the author of the treatise. Furthermore, for example, "Liberated from the conduct of the three realms," etc., the words of prostration are both the content to be stated and the deity one favors, thus encompassing both. Similarly, here too, prostration to glorious Vajrasattva is because it is the deity favored by the teacher Chandrakirti himself, and it is in accordance with the intention of the glorious Nagarjuna. In the Lamp Illuminating [Tantra], it is also said: "This is precisely what is to be stated, in order to attain it through the door of all samadhis." Statement

And it will be explained that its nature is the Great Vajradhara. Therefore, prostration is following both. If so, what will happen by doing prostration? It will pacify obstacles. What is the reason for this? By doing prostration, the accumulation of merit arising from praising the qualities of the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara will transform non-merit. The obstacles arising from non-merit will disappear because of focusing on merit, because what is focused on is the contradictory cause that should be negated. Some teachers consider prostration to be of four types, namely prostration with body, speech, mind, and unsurpassed offering. Among these, the body is the prostration of the five limbs. Speech is the characteristic of praising the accumulation of its qualities. Mind is remembering it itself. Prostration with unsurpassed offering is following its nature. In the "Excellent Explanation," it says: Just as water is poured into water, just as oil is poured into oil, whatever is seen by oneself with one's own wisdom is prostration. Such prostration is also completely included here. Now, prostration will be explained. In the "Glorious Root Tantra" and so on, after prostrating to the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, Acharya Chandrakirti said that the "Compendium" is the "Guhyasamaja Tantra." "Extremely Clear" means to make it clear. What is the Compendium? It is the characteristic of this very "Glorious Root Tantra." Glorious is the accumulation of merit and wisdom. Because it possesses it, it is glorious. Similarly, first generating great compassion, with the stages of samadhi such as the initial application, accomplishing the benefit of all beings, and then purifying speech and so on, manifesting the characteristics of the five stages, the accumulation of wisdom. Or, glorious is the four types such as action mudra. Because it is closely shown, it is glorious. Thus, at the time of the samadhi of the mandala victor, for those such as low-caste girls who do not have action and samaya mudras, thinking of the wisdom mudra, the great mudra with the characteristic of great bliss.
