If a thing that possesses all complete and undamaged elements has been determined, or if it is inferred again to be of momentary nature, then will sense perception and self-awareness also arise for an inseparable thing that has the nature of arising and mind? It is said that the inseparable thing is completely determined by direct perception. However, in any place where there is doubt about anything, inference will arise in order to avoid any error of the measurer. For example, for those who claim that things are permanent, it is precisely the momentary nature. You also do not need to have any errors, because in order to dispel errors, other valid cognitions must be sought, because mind itself is the nature of the great elements. Therefore, since different valid cognitions are seen to arise for inseparable things, mind must be different. The analogy of being intoxicated by alcohol is not in accordance with reality, because there is no simultaneous perception. When the substance of alcohol is not tasted, where is the power of intoxication? Even when intoxicated by alcohol, it appears as a single power of experience because it is absorbed into the body, but it is not the alcohol itself, so there is no simultaneous perception. Similarly, it is not present in the elements and mind. For example, even without a body, there is indeed a mind with a subtle body. Those with mind are seen in all bodies. Even in the formless realm, there will be no absence of the body of meditative absorption. The relationship between the base and the based, the relationship between the body and the mind, is reasonable. It is not seen that the based is destroyed by the destruction of the base, just as cutting a tree is not seen as cutting a crow. If that is the case, then what will happen to the terms of living and dying? It is said that from beginningless time, due to the power of the predispositions of craving and ignorance, which are categories of the truth of origination, the collection of life and senses move, and due to the karma that maintains life, as long as the aggregates are in the womb, as long as consciousness exists, it is called living. Because the karma that maintains life ceases, the wheel of life and so on ceases, so it is called death in the world.

It is said that consciousness arises and ceases again and again, which is only the difference of mind from the great elements. Therefore, there are six aggregates of consciousness, and since there are virtues and non-virtues that accomplish happiness and so on, there are heavens and hells and so on, and in order to realize this, there is only inference, so this is the answer to the materialists of the world. Those who are worthy of offerings also say that they are completely transformed. It is said that the person (Pudgala) is permanent. Their doctrine is this: all things of the three times, those that exist in the future time will come to be so; those that have come to be in the present will become the past time itself; the past will become the future; and the future will become the present. It is said that nothing arises or ceases, like gold. For example, just as gold changes when an earring changes, and an earring changes when gold changes, the essence of gold does not deteriorate. Therefore, yogurt also turns into butter, and butter also turns into yogurt. There is no fault in the self being permanent even if it changes. As it is said: "Abandoning the previous other dharma, when another dharma is taken, it does not move from that which has the dharma, it is said that it is completely transformed." To that it is said: If the nature of going and not going is the permanent essence of the going self, then why does it completely change? The term "completely changing" is the difference of the dharma, which is the nature of the destruction of one's own form, the characteristic of impermanence. How can that which is impermanent be a self? If you say that one's own essence is not destroyed by the logic of gold, knots, and fists, that is also unreasonable, because a difference is seen in gold. For example, even if something that looks like gold is destroyed, it will definitely occur due to the difference made by those who investigate and know, such as hardness and color. That which is different is itself impermanent. If it is said that the self, whether it is different or not different, its own essence will not be destroyed, that is also not true, because difference and non-difference are mutually contradictory. If it is different, why is it not different? In non-difference,
