It is said that "it arises from the empowerment of subduing the untamed," and because it possesses the blessings of body and so on, it shows the benefits to the yogis. In order to meditate on the three samadhis of the completion stage, the so-called three wisdoms are mentioned, namely the three wisdoms of appearance and so on, because they are indistinguishable to ordinary people. The so-called arising from the Tathagatas arises from the lamp of six connections, such as the Tathagatas. Alternatively, the Tathagata is luminosity, and what arises from it is proliferation. As it is said: "Just as from water and milk, Fish and others can quickly leap up." Because it is not the object of practice for yogis who abide in the generation stage, why are yogis of the generation stage not vessels for distinguishing the three wisdoms? Because it is a branch of the completion stage. The so-called ultimate truth is the luminosity to be attained by the stage of complete purification of the mind. The so-called being the place of the three consciousnesses is because it arises from that itself. The so-called conventional truth is the characteristic of the collection of natures such as appearance, because it is with conceptualization. The so-called arising is because from luminosity itself, all defiled and purified dharmas arise. If that is the case, then how does the non-dual nature become different? And if it exists, then how is it non-different? Answer: For the time being, luminosity is the non-different nature, and relying on the distinctions of dharmas that are without essence, its distinctions appear separately, like space and rain. Because space, although its essence is one, becomes differentiated by the differentiation of things, like the terms "space of a pot" and "space of a cloth." Rain, although its essence is one, becomes termed as having tastes such as sweetness due to its relationship with sugarcane trees and so on. Similarly, luminosity is also termed by differentiation due to the relationship of arising and ceasing of that and that collection of things, but there is no differentiation in luminosity itself.
