Standing with the right leg extended, frowning, with a hanging belly, black in color, with fangs, holding the threatening forefinger of the left hand at the heart, the right hand extended, visualize the wrathful king of Vajrakilaya. Recite "Om Vajra Yaksha Krodha Khada Khada Sarva Papam Bhaksha Hum Phet (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཡ་ཀྵ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཁ་ད་ཁ་ད་སརྦ་པཱ་པཾ་བྱ་སྱ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्र यक्ष क्रोध खाद खाद सर्व पापम् भक्ष हुं फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra yakṣa krodha khāda khāda sarva pāpaṃ bhakṣa hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Yaksha, Wrathful, Eat, Eat, All, Sins, Eat, Hum, Phet)" to devour the sins. Visualize the disciple transforming from the completely transformed seed syllable Sam (Tibetan: སཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: सं, Sanskrit Romanization: saṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Sam) into the form of Samantabhadra. With the previously mentioned nectar-swirling mantra, strike the obstacles in his heart with a phurba. With the collection of fierce rays arising from that, burn all the malevolence. In order to protect the disciple's mind, on the crown of the head, on the lunar disc arising from the first vowel, abide the vajra cross arising from the last vowel, bless with the syllable Hum (Tibetan: ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), thus taking the disciple. Then, in the place mentioned in the sadhana, with the protective ritual mentioned therein and the three samadhis as preliminaries, stabilize the mind with the meditation of subtle yoga or any other meditation. Recite one hundred thousand or ten thousand for each deity, in the direction of east and north. In brief, accomplish virtue, be free from the fault of stinging, the east and north directions are higher, adorned with flowers and trees. Or wherever the mind is pleased, begin there. Then, in the afternoon, endowed with immovable yoga, visualize the earth goddess arising from the syllable Lam (Tibetan: ལཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: लँ, Sanskrit Romanization: laṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Lam), yellow in color, holding a golden vase with both hands, half of the body appearing outside, urge by pressing the earth with the right hand. Savior of all Buddhas, the manner of conduct and distinction, earth and paramita, goddess, you are the master. Shakya Lion Savior, how did you subdue the armies of Mara, likewise, having conquered the armies of Mara, I will draw the mandala.

One should lie down to sleep. If one is deceived by dreams or the like, then at that time, at noon on the second day, one who possesses the yoga of any wrathful deity should perform a fire offering to destroy obstacles through the rite of manifest action, and then in the afternoon bathe and anoint the limbs with fragrant substances. Possessing the pride of Vajradhara, one should perform a pacifying fire offering with the rite that will be explained. Distinguishing between inferior, intermediate, and supreme accomplishments, one should dig the ground up to the knees, waist, and navel, and remove chaff, stones, bones, pebbles, and the like. One should also mix the essence of the five excellent fragrances with fragrant water to fill it, and sprinkle and scatter with amrita water while reciting the Amrita Whirlpool mantra. The immovable yogi should reside within the mandala palace, which is the essence of all jewels, medicines, and grains, surrounded on all four sides by horse heads and iron fences, and adorned everywhere with various kinds of bells, banners, victory banners, and canopies, supremely beautiful, called Glorious Amrita, anointed with the five amritas manifestly gathered by the three syllables (Tibetan: ཡི་གེ་གསུམ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्र्यक्षर, Sanskrit Romanization: tryakṣara, Chinese literal meaning: three syllables) by the yoga of wrathful deities. Possessing flowers, incense, and the like, one should look to the left with the gaze of a wrathful deity, and gradually dispel obstacles and bind the directions. By saying "Om Dhūṃ Khaṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཌྷུཾ་ཁཾ།)", one makes the earth into the sky, and by saying "Hūṃ Laṃ Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་ལཾ་ཧཱུཾ།)", one completely perfects it with diamond dust. By saying "Om Medinī Vajrī Bhava Vajra Bandha Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མེ་དཱི་ནཱི་བཛྲཱི་བྷ་བ་བཛྲ་བནྡྷ་ཧཱུཾ།)", one blesses it, touches it with the right hand, and blesses it with the three syllables, secretly reciting the mantra. If one digs the ground on a rooftop, in a basement, in a forest, in a garden, in a temple, or on the bank of a river, one should recite the three syllables, and these are the rites for purifying and taking the ground. Here it is said: Starting from the last month of autumn, etc., counting three months at a time to the left, sleep with the head facing south, west, north, and east. For one lying on the left side, the head should be lost when digging the ground. If one digs the head and waist, etc., one should know that great faults will arise. Thus it is said. Then, draw the mandala every day, every month, or every year.
