The six are also the objects of direct perception. Because of establishing the six supports, supported objects, and objects of focus, the eighteen realms are established by means of direct perception and inference. The truth of the origin should also be realized by seeing the truth of suffering, which is the result of ignorance and craving, just as fire is seen from smoke. Therefore, the aggregates and so on exist. In order to abandon them, the Bhagavan taught the two truths of cessation and the path. To those who say this, the answer is: this consciousness alone is the appearance of external objects, because it is self-illuminating. The other aggregates and so on do not exist, because they are the appearance of others. Whatever is self-appearing is consciousness, because it is not other, so form and so on do not exist. Those that have its appearance appear due to the power of mistaking them for external objects, but they are not ultimately real. For example, like the ocean and waves. As it is said: The waves move this and that, the water appears to be of different nature, in an instant it becomes motionless again, and changes as if lying down. Whatever is a dual appearance, that is not the realm of reason, like a sudden utterance, like the sound of a rock wall. Because it is said so. Therefore, the aggregates, realms, and sources do not exist, because consciousness itself appears as its own form. This also refutes the Sutra school, because although the appearance of its consciousness is real, it is not the object of direct perception. However, because the arising of consciousness of the eye and so on does not occur without relying on external objects, external objects are established by inference. Therefore, things that are neither directly perceived nor inferred do not exist in any way, because only consciousness appears as the nature of the two valid cognitions of direct perception and inference. This refutes the schools of the Hearers and the Sutra school. The Mind-Only school says that only consciousness exists, without relying on external objects, by which this three realms, which have become the vessel of sentient beings, appear. Sun, moon, sky, and constellations, and earth, and rivers, oceans, directions, mountains, etc.

They are emanations of the mind. Up to the peak of existence, These beings of the three realms, Whatever appears in this way, Certainly arises from the nature of mind. It is said for this reason. Similarly, the Venerable Dignāga also said: The mere appearance of consciousness is meaningless, Because the meaning of non-existence appears. Just as those with cataracts see, Hairs, moons, etc. that do not exist. Thus it is said. Thus, even though it is naturally pure, it appears as if it possesses sudden defilements, like a mirror. Its essence does not deteriorate. Because the three characteristics are completely pure, its nature should be thoroughly examined. These are the completely imputed, the dependent, and the thoroughly established. Among these, the completely imputed is that even though external objects do not exist, they are still named by this, such as "this pot" and "this blanket". The dependent is the realization of that which does not exist as the way of grasping and being grasped. The thoroughly established is the experience of wisdom that is without grasping and being grasped, and is therefore solely immaculate, infinite, and like the sky. The meaning of elephant, those aspects, That non-existence is known by the wise. The natures such as the completely imputed, The numbers should be known as they are. Thus it appears. Similarly, With the first characteristic, The absence of essence and others, Should be known as the self, the non-existent thing, Its absence of essence is shown. Because in the ultimate sense, all phenomena, That too is suchness, Because it always exists as such, That itself is mere consciousness. Thus it appears. By thoroughly contemplating the three characteristics, knowing only mind, the characteristics of the Dharmakāya, which are permanent, blissful, and self, will appear as the same as mere consciousness and awareness, and thus the division between liberation and bondage will be distinguished. That is without mind, without object, Transcendent wisdom, Because of abandoning the two bad states, That is the basis, the transformed state. That itself is the realm without defilements, Inconceivable, always virtuous, The blissful, completely liberated body, Is called the Dharma of the Great Sage. Thus it appears. Here it is said: The statement of only mind does not truly exist in the ultimate sense. Why? Because it knows, therefore it is mind. For a moment, you yourself will
