exists. Therefore, merely manifesting the nature of a vase that contradicts meat-eating, it is reasonable to negate "this is not meat-eating" by its own nature. Similarly, having things and non-things is unreasonable. By negating non-things, things can be understood; by negating things, non-things can also be understood. Therefore, by negating things, non-things can be achieved; by negating non-things, things can be determined. Therefore, merely establishing as things, or merely becoming non-things, but things with the nature of non-things, these two natures are unreasonable. Therefore, what is summarized by "therefore," etc., should be explained: what is to be meditated on is what is to be known. The meditator is the one who meditates on things, who measures the meditation. Meditation does not have the nature of action, because there is no action and no actor. Therefore, it should be said that all dharmas are emptiness. The meaning of the letters is that because the pervasive is invisible, it is to separately show the emptiness of all things. In order to separately show the emptiness of all things through the order of the three doors of liberation. "Above and below," etc., are mentioned, referring to the four elements of earth, etc., which have six parts. Because they are inseparable from one and many, they are empty, which is one door of liberation with the characteristic of emptiness. Conditioned and unconditioned, conditioned is the five aggregates. Unconditioned is space, etc. All of them are empty according to the previously explained reasoning. The so-called non-thing refers to the meditation of those yogis who practice to the other shore, which is not meditation. Why? Because it is a view that clings to emptiness. The view of clinging to the nature of "all dharmas are empty" is the meaning of what is called "cause." With the view of clinging to emptiness, it is unreasonable to meditate on the object of conditioned and unconditioned things, because it has no basis. It is only clinging to emptiness.

If it is said, "It is the object of meditation," then how does it negate meditation? It is said that it is not the understanding of the meaning of non-affirming negation, which is called "emptiness," but rather the understanding of the meaning of affirming negation. Among them, negating what is similar to a thing, for example, saying, "Bring what is not a Brahmin," thereby understanding bringing those of the royal caste, etc., who are similar to Brahmins. Affirming negation is what shows the non-existence of a thing itself. Similarly, after negating the thing of emptiness, it is not saying any other thing whatsoever, so that even just the attachment to appearance is established, but rather negating all parts of the thing, which is emptiness. Things that are distinct in various ways are like clothes. When emptiness is burned by fire, there is no difference in the ashes. Sentient beings and containers, these two worlds, after being burned here, the self is also the same, becoming pacified like a lamp. Because it is spoken thus. Therefore, the Blessed One, in order to abandon the discriminations of parts and mere parts, taught the eighteen emptinesses. In order to abandon all the faults caused by views, emptiness was taught. Because it is spoken thus. If emptiness is the nature of being separated from all abilities, then the Blessed One said in the Prajnaparamita Sutra, "Form is emptiness, and emptiness is form." Then, how is the relationship of its own nature together with the thing that performs the function of meaning in the aspect of affirming negation? It is said that emptiness is the nature of affirming negation, because emptiness and things, by their own nature, understand that things are emptiness, and understand that emptiness is also a thing, therefore things are not elsewhere. If that is so, how is it understood that the thing that performs the function of meaning is contradictory to emptiness? It is said that ultimate truth does not perform the function of meaning, because it appears that way due to delusion. For example, the sand of the desert meeting with the collection of rays of the sun, appearing like water from the top of a mountain, comes with great joy.
