Thus, one will experience intense afflictions. As it says in the Sutra of the River of Ashes: "I am not afraid of a thief stealing my wealth, for the wealth he steals does not truly exist. Those pure riches accumulated in the mind will surely be stolen by ordinary thoughts." This is like a monastic monk stretching out his arms and shouting out desires in the daytime. Therefore, karma arises from the power of afflictions, and rebirth arises from the power of karma, and from that again karma, and again afflictions arise, thus revolving endlessly like a wheel. This wheel of existence is not created by myself or anything else, but from emptiness alone, empty dharmas arise. As it is said: "From three, two are born, from two, seven are born, and from seven, two are born again, therefore this is the beginningless wheel of existence. From the dharmas of emptiness alone, all dharmas arise with the nature of emptiness. Words spoken, butter lamps, mirrors, magnifying glasses, seeds, sour tastes, and sounds, as well as the connection of the aggregates, even without transference, the wise should understand." Therefore, afflictions, karma, and rebirth themselves are nearly harmful, and are great faults. Reversing these through the practice of the two stages is like approaching with clothing, so it is clothing. The so-called "taking and holding" refers to the characteristic of generating and perfecting, the characteristic of words expressing the meaning to be expressed. The collection of texts that explain it is also called a "chapter," meaning that the collection of words that reveals the nature of the two stages, that is, the body of the deity of realization and completion, is called a "chapter." Some say that just as the roof of a house can eliminate disasters such as wind and rain, a chapter can pacify obscurations such as afflictions. In the commentary on "Illuminating the Lamp," it says, this is the first chapter. Chapter Two: Extensive Explanation of the Mind of Enlightenment Thus, after the first chapter generates everything, the first chapter refers to fully expressing the meaning of the tantra, becoming a characteristic of the opening words.

E'u so. The generation of all things is that the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara, in order to subdue future sentient beings, with the samadhi of great desire, closely practices the wheel of goddesses, starting from dispelling obstacles, up to the palace, especially the mandala of faith and the mandala of ultimate meaning, as well as the seats of lotus and so on, manifesting the Suchness of the Dharmadhatu, and the meditation on the main deity of the mandala arising from the complete transformation of the three syllables, and the blessing of the eyes and so on, and between the blessing of body, speech, and mind, first under the samadhi of union, practicing mudras, Vajra and Lotus entering equally, and from that arising the mandala deities such as Akshobhya, and those performing the benefit of sentient beings, Establishing the east and other directions of the mandala, and showing how to make a crown. The completely pure divine body that truly arises in the order of purifying the mind and so on, is shown in the aspect of the completion stage, which is to show the generation of all those things. In order to clarify the completion stage, it is to expound the nature of the two divine yogas, the samaya mandala, for the sake of expounding the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra. Now, the Suchness of the nature of abandoning the ultimate truth alone becomes the cause of the generation stage, and in order to clarify the five completion stages of the nature of Vajra recitation and so on. The chapter on Bodhicitta is the chapter that shows the unborn nature from the beginning. The so-called "spoken" is connected to "speaking," which is the mutual relationship between the agent and the action. The Great Vajradhara is the nature of the collection of body and so on, namely the glorious Vajrasattva. Offering is the scattering of goddesses with flowers and so on. Praying to the Bhagavan is for the purpose of hearing the chapter on Bodhicitta. The indivisible nature of body, speech, and mind is to make the ordinary body and so on invisible by meditating on emptiness, thereby giving rise to the nature of Vajra. The supreme is the cause because the effect is established in the causal stage.
