This is spoken to the Sangha. Here, the question is: For what necessity is it collected, so that all the scriptures of the Tathagatas are indicated with "Thus I have heard"? It can also be indicated by "These are what I have heard" or "This is what I have heard," and so on. Answer: Because it is the symbol of all the Tathagatas, indicating wisdom and means, it is necessary to explicitly state the believer of the scriptures. Question: If that is the case, then it should be known that there is no collector. Therefore, the words "Thus I have heard," and so on, become irrelevant. Answer: That is true, there is indeed no collector here. Question: Then, why are venerable Ananda and others known in the world as collectors? Answer: Ananda here is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, that is, Vajrapani. The Great Vajradhara is also no different from him. Otherwise, how could Vajrapani, having heard these eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, such as the Sutras, from the Tathagata, remember them all at once without omission? The Bhagavan also said in the Great Yoga Tantra that this is the uncommon secret. After that, The perfect assembly of the all-knowing one will be explained. For example: Manjushri is King Shuddhodana. Lokeshvara is the great goddess Maya. Shri Devi is Kirti Dhara. Vajrasattva is Rahu Dhara. Sarvanivaranaviskambhin is Shariputra. Samantabhadra is the sthavira Ananda. Indra, the lord of the gods, is the sthavira Devadatta. The great Vairocana Buddha is the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the glorious Shakyamuni. With this knowledge, the so-called collector and assembly are for the sake of allowing beginners to enter, and this shows the play of the Buddha. Here it is said: The Buddha does not enter Nirvana, and the Dharma will not disappear, but for the sake of taming sentient beings, he shows the approach of Nirvana. Therefore, there must be the two words "Thus I have heard."

It is certain that the earth is the nature of wisdom and means. So, how are these known? It is said: The Blessed One himself spoke when requested by the Lord of the Gods. Indra prayed: 'Why is it called "this word"? Why is it first combined? Is this the teaching of the Sugata? Or is it spoken by the Hearers? Please dispel all these doubts of mine, until the end of existence.' The speaker of the virtues of the sacred Dharma, having heard the words of the Lord of the Gods, then bestowed "Good!", and the Blessed One spoke thus: 'Because the All-Seeing One first said "this word", therefore, how the order is, Lord of the Gods, please listen. Eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, obtain the number, and the four and defeat of all, are thus shown as two letters. The letter “ཨེ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: Oh) becomes the mother, and “ཝ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: व, Romanized Sanskrit: va, literal Chinese meaning: Wow) is known as the father. There, bind the bindu, and having bound it, it is extremely wonderful. “ཨེ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: Oh) is said to be the lotus, ༄། །ལ། །“ཝ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: व, Romanized Sanskrit: va, literal Chinese meaning: Wow) is the vajra itself. The bindu there is the seed, from which the three realms of beings are born. “ཨེ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: Oh) is the nature of wisdom, and “ཝ་” (Tibetan, Devanagari: व, Romanized Sanskrit: va, literal Chinese meaning: Wow) is the possessor of great joy. The bindu is the indestructible nature itself, from which the letter itself is also born. The two letters of the Dharma seal, who knows it? It will turn the wheel of Dharma for all sentient beings. Which beings do not understand these two letters, but constantly recite them? They are like the four non-Buddhist, abandoning union, like the four Tirthikas. In the illusion of the two letters ཨེ་ཝཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evam, literal Chinese meaning: Thus), because the All-Knowing One dwells here, therefore, at the beginning of teaching the sacred Dharma, therefore, ཨེ་ཝཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evam, literal Chinese meaning: Thus) is greatly explained. Therefore, Indra, Lord of the Gods, if you desire a constant place, you should remember the illusion of two minds, and make the sacred Dharma your guru.' The meaning of the vajra words such as "I have", etc., should also enter into what is shown in the explanatory tantra. In the nature of the coiled wheel, it is said 'I have heard', what is coiled by the nature of the seed, is the most excellent of the wheels of the gods. What is the time of great joy? It is said to be 'at one time'. The eight masters, the Blessed One, dwell in the state of great bliss. The victor of these five aggregates.
