The meaning of straightforward and definitive is that, the words of the sutras are spoken by the Bhagavan. From the tantra that was spoken, it is shown by six limits: spoken with intention, spoken without intention, spoken with straightforward meaning, spoken with definitive meaning, as it is literally, and not as it is literally. The yoga tantra is determined to be these six limits. In this order, starting from the words of abiding, explained by six limits, and explained by four ways, this expands the meaning of the Guhyasamaja (Secret Assembly). If one does not understand this, relying only on the literal meaning of the words, those sentient beings who are attached to objects will do contradictory and very strange actions, and thus be controlled by karma. Moreover, the Bhagavan also said in the tantra of intentional prophecy: Secret Lord, the meaning is vast, having obtained this great Dharma, if one grasps the literal meaning, then one will fall into the wrong path. Always liking manifest pride, having great joy, the yogi will say "I", the Dharma will become deceit. Therefore, not understanding the assembly (mandala), practicing vows and so on, not guarding secrets, and showing off everywhere. Slandering and disrespecting the teacher who is like the Buddha in this life, being angry in an instant, and regretting in the same instant. Mother, sister, daughter, walking where one should not go, killing parents, and also killing other living beings. Likewise, speaking false words, and especially stealing. Going to another's wife, and also doing other slanders. He will not know the vows from which wisdom arises, and even for a slight fault, it will manifest. Those yogis who do not have good union will not achieve. Always liking external treatises, being skilled in those unions, completely abandoning one's own vows, acting like without a hook. By the union of mantras and mudras, he makes a living by this. Wherever he can obtain gain, he will explain the holy Dharma there.

You all. In order to uphold those, it is explained with secret intention. Thus it is said, this is the meaning of summarizing. Having explained the meaning of summarizing in this way, now in order to distinguish the meaning of the branches, one should enter into the tantra. Here, the one who compiles, the noble Vajrapani, having kept in mind what he heard, in order to teach the disciples, he spoke "Thus I have heard" and so on. The so-called "Thus" is a word particle that shows the meaning of the tantra without exception. The so-called "I have heard" means that I myself have heard it directly, not transmitted from others one after another, nor realized. The so-called "one time" means that at one time this was heard, and at another time other things were heard. Or at another time this was not heard. Or one time, that is, one moment. Thus it is said, these three fully show that one has heard a lot, that the tantra is hard to find, and that one's wisdom is outstanding. From where? Where? With whom did you hear it? In order to show the basis, "Bhagavan" and so on were spoken. The so-called "Bhagavan" means showing the perfect teacher, because he has perfect merit, and because he has destroyed all opposing factors, he is called Bhagavan. The so-called "All Tathagatas" and so on, means showing the perfect place, from going to suchness, being both Tathagata and all, therefore all Tathagatas. That Bhagavan is the self of all Tathagatas.

resides within. The term "Thus" is the meaning of the word. It is an explanation for the assembly. Here, the question is: For what necessity is the compilation made, so that for all the scriptures of the Tathagatas, it is said, "Thus I have heard"? It can also be expressed by "These I have heard" or "This I have heard," and so on. Answer: Because it is the symbol of all the Tathagatas, showing wisdom and means, it is necessary to explicitly state the believer of the scriptures. Question: If that is the case, then it should be known that there is no compiler. Therefore, the words "I have heard" and so on become irrelevant. Answer: That is true, there is no compiler here. Question: Then, why are venerable Ananda and others known in the world as compilers? Answer: Ananda here refers to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, who is Vajrapani. The great Vajradhara is also none other than him. Otherwise, how could Vajrapani, having heard from the Tathagata these eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, such as the Sutras, remember them all at once without omission? The Bhagavan also said that this is called the uncommon secret, from the Great Yoga Tantra. After that, the perfect retinue of the all-knowing one will be explained. For example: Manjushri transformed into the great King Shuddhodana. Lokeshvara transformed into the great goddess Maya. Shri Devi is Grahadhara. Vajrasattva is Rahula. Sariputra is the one who completely eliminates all obscurations. Samantabhadra is the sthavira Ananda. Indra, the lord of the gods, is the sthavira Devadatta. The great Vairochana Buddha transformed into the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the glorious Shakyamuni. With this knowledge, being called the compiler and retinue is for the sake of allowing beginners to enter, and this is a display of the Buddha's play. Here it is said: The Buddha does not enter Nirvana, nor will the Dharma disappear, but for the sake of taming sentient beings, he shows the approach of Nirvana.
