Furthermore, eliminate discursive thoughts, and by knowing the essence, be sure to determine the boundaries of this life and the next. Now, let us briefly summarize the scriptures. Having heard all the tantras completely and without omission through the seven modes of transmission, such as "Thus I have heard," and through the method of explanation, having understood the meaning, method, and nature of reality, and with the initiation of the two stages of practice, having correctly explained to the listeners, thereby completely fulfilling the purpose of the composition. In order to fully demonstrate the vow one has made, by way of summarizing, one speaks the words, "Thus it was said." This Guhyasamaja Tantra is thus spoken, taught by the great Vajradhara, the great Blissful One. All the Tathagatas enter into it, primarily focusing on the secrets of body, speech, and mind. Wherever the gathering of secrets is, that is the place of assembly. In the King of Guhyasamaja Tantras, there is a chapter called "The Vows of All Tathagatas and the King of Blessings of the Blue Vajra." All the Tathagatas are Vairochana Buddha and so on. Their vows are the five aspects of guarding the meaning of upholding, etc. The vow is to diligently accomplish, namely the five families such as the Tathagata family. Because it is non-dual and cannot be surpassed, it is called Vajra. The King of Blessings of that Vajra is the great Vajradhara, the lord of all lineages, the primordial Buddha without beginning or end, the form of the great wise one, the body of wisdom, the nature of self-luminousness, the lord of the three realms, the nature of the three bodies, the nature of the three vehicles, the nature of the three times, the nature of the three vajras, the nature of the two truths, and so on. Thus, the names of the sixth Buddha, the Tathagata, are infinite and boundless. The complete collection of scriptures that explain these is called a chapter because it is like the previous garments. The words of the Blissful Gone One, the yoga tantra of utmost subtlety, If one says that one will surely realize the state of being free from the six extremes, That is merely seeing the deity in the letters, the eye that sees the true nature, Like wanting to see the moon, but looking at the tip of one's finger instead.

What are the six-edged paths explained by the victorious sublime ones? Whatever it may be, having completely distinguished this and the lineage methods, and having explained the ultimate of the tantra, may this extensive explanation of the Lamp Burning Commentary remain long, through whatever merit I have gained. May all beings be endowed with the supreme state of bliss, the wisdom of the moon! The seventeenth chapter, Explanation of the Six Edges, from the Extensive Explanation Called "Making the Lamp Clear." The extensive explanation of the secrets of the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, called "Making the Lamp Clear," relying on the oral instructions of the great teacher Nāgārjuna, composed by the teacher Chandrakīrti, is completed. The Indian abbot Śraddhākaravarma, and the reviser, the Tsawa monk Rinchen Zangpo, translated, revised, and finalized it. After being explained by the Indian abbot Śrījñānākarabha, it was proofread, borrowed, and sought help by the Tibetan reviser translator Go Lhasbtsas. Afterwards, after being explained by the great Indian Paṇḍita Krishnacharya, it was revised by the Tibetan translator Go Lhasbtsas in comparison with the model of U-Tsang. The Extensive Explanation Called "Making the Lamp Clear," Chandrakīrti.
