Because of teaching the Dharma without interruption. Protecting means that the incarnate body enables sentient beings to attain higher realms and liberation. They come in the three times, and for the teacher who teaches Guhyasamaja, it is called the offering of all Tathagatas. After offering with body, speech, and mind, they also go to their own Buddha-fields and utter words such as, 'Our father,' etc. For example, this is easy to understand. Because of fear and dread, how do all the Tathagatas regard the teacher? For the place of offering with words of doubt, there is a great fault in generating doubt, therefore Maitreya remained silent. Thus, Maitreya remained silent and did not receive an answer. Again, in order to urge that meaning, he called upon other Bodhisattvas, and in order to show again what the nature of the great Vajradhara is, he spoke from then on, etc. Regarding contemplating the samaya of accomplishment of all Vajradharas, Vajra is the inexpressible Suchness, the sixth. Because it is held by way of emitting and entering, it is Vajradhara, the lord of the mandala. His samaya of accomplishment is the incarnate body. Since it is both the samaya of accomplishment and everything, it is all samayas of accomplishment. Contemplating it is to make it manifest. Because it is indivisible, it is Vajra, and after entering into such samadhi, he spoke to those Bodhisattvas with Akshobhya, etc., Bodhisattvas, you, etc. After hearing the words of the Tathagata, in order to show what the Bodhisattvas asked, he spoke from then on, etc. The accomplishments of body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, etc., refer to the incarnate body of the nature of all the Tathagatas. The Bodhisattvas asked, 'Where do they reside?' The secret of the three bodies

"Body, speech, and mind reside in the body, speech, and mind of the Vajra Acharya," the answer is, "They reside in the body, speech, and mind of the immovable." "Where do the Vajra of body, speech, and mind reside?" is the question. "Nowhere do they reside" is the answer. "They reside in the Vajra of Bodhicitta," and "The Vajra of body, speech, and mind reside," is what should be explained, but the words "Nowhere do they reside" cannot indicate "That is this," because it should be known from the Guru's oral instructions. Thus, to show how the Bodhisattvas are free from doubt, "Then" and so on are spoken. The wonder is for the teacher. The marvel is for its cause. Thereafter, starting from the Bodhisattva Maitreya, up to the collection of scriptures between "Nowhere does it reside," how the perfectly accomplished Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the lord of the mandala, Akshobhya, became the teacher of Guhyasamaja, should be offered and regarded as the Guru, so with pleasant words such as "Our father," they are praised, and after offering external and internal offerings as they are, thus also truly relying on the two stages, with the seven ornaments and the ways of explanation, distinguishing what is Guhyasamaja, he also, like the future Vajrapani, generates reverence like seeing the great Vajradhara and makes offerings, this is to indicate this meaning. To clarify this meaning, in the great tantra of the glorious Mayajala Tantra it is said: "How to view the Acharya? The Guru is equal to all Buddhas. He is always Vajradhara. The Tathagata Jewel Crown. His wisdom is the great ocean. The wish-fulfilling jewel bestows jewels. One should uphold the qualities of the Acharya. Faults are never present. Accomplishment is achieved through qualities. Accomplishment is diminished through faults. Therefore, one should strive diligently in all ways. Ripening the inconceivable fruit. Those who desire the fruit of Buddhahood. The first sentient beings should worship him."

Thus it was said. Similarly, in the Mahayana Sutra called 'The Jewel King,' the Blessed One Vajrapani, residing on the mountain of Oddiyana, instructed all who study the Vajrayana: Listen, all who study the entire Vajrayana! Although the Tathagata, the teacher, has passed into complete nirvana and is not visible, the Vajra Acharya, the Vajra Lama, will teach in this way. Similarly, in the Hundred Thousand Verses, it is said that the enlightenment of the Buddha depends on relying closely on a virtuous friend. Therefore, with 'Then,' etc., the Bodhisattvas, at the time of requesting, became of the nature of clear light. After that, Vajrapani is the immovable one. The secret Vajra is the Tathagatas. That samadhi in which they abide and dissolve is the samadhi of the secret Vajra. Having arisen from the true limit, again, like before, having become the wrathful Vajra, he called out to the Tathagatas and others, and showed the mandala of samadhi. All the Tathagatas are great yogis who abide in the completion stage. That mandala in which their bodhicitta arises and is born is called the indestructible mandala of samadhi, the mandala of mind.
