The great deity shows the meaning of the past, etc., as it is: The noble path, the four empowerments, are like this: Whoever is the nature of Vajra accomplishment, that Vajra accomplished one, becomes pure through conduct, and if done in this way, it will always be accomplished, and will come close to being completely accomplished. In order to show the characteristics below, daughters, etc., are spoken of. A daughter who is twelve years old, whose youthful form has not deteriorated and is pure, or a boy who is about that age, who has not encountered the realm of women, all characteristics are completely perfect, holding limbs and body without defects, and having manifestly trained in the order previously described, and the four empowerments should be thoroughly examined. After all the rituals have been performed, it means that the manifest training of the vessel, etc., has been done first and completed. The actions should be thoroughly accomplished, which means that after that, the actions of empowerment should be thoroughly accomplished. If done in another way, the beings of the three realms will use it, which means that if it is not done that way, then the beings of the three realms, superior, intermediate, and inferior, will ridicule and slander. In that empowerment ritual, these are the words of the heart mantra, which means that because it arises from the heart, it is the heart. Because it is secret, it is a mantra. The letters are Hum and so on, four. Those themselves are words, because they are the basis of empowerment. The practitioner should empower in this order. The realm of space, etc., because it is separated from consciousness, becomes empty like the realm of space, without mind, like a dead body. All discriminations are completely abandoned, which means separated from discriminations. Vajrasattva's own nature is also, which means that Vajrasattva will also manifest, thus clearly showing the great nature of meditation. If done according to the ritual, it will descend, which means that it will descend through the ritual of empowerment. In order to show the necessity of the four letters, it is said that Hum is, etc. Hum is the nature of Vajrasattva, the heart Vajra dwells here. Hala is the body Vajra dwells here. Ah is the king who holds the Dharma, that is, Amitabha Buddha dwells here. This

This is the teaching of the secret words. In this context, "teaching of the secret words" refers to the place of descent. ཛྷཻཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) is said to be what urges or impels. That is to say, it is explained as generating impulsion. "Moving" refers to revolving like a wheel. "Agitating" means to stir or set in motion, and in this case, ཛྷཻཿ itself is said to be the impelling force. It is by means of this ཛྷེཿ that all impelling is done. These three, beginning with impulsion, are also secret, and are said to be the essence. Through the ritual explained in this way, having descended, it will rise one cubit or more above the ground into the sky. Vajrasattva, that is, the immovable samadhi, and the letter HUNG, having been thoroughly impelled and clarified, because it transcends the command of Vajrasattva, it will become fearful, terrified, confused, and throbbing. In the phrase "as before," and so on, in whatever way the last seed obtains the secret, in the same way that it causes to descend, the remaining three seeds also, how ༄། །Starting from the last, up to the first seed, it is caused to descend in the same way. Here, what is summarized is this: Then, the swan-like practitioner, having performed the preliminary actions in a pleasing place such as a mountain, and with a stable mind, desiring to cause it to descend into the vessel, focuses on the immovable samadhi as it is. Having performed the ritual of especially placing the qualified vessel, and having done it as Amitabha, having placed the three letters in the crown of the head, throat, and heart, and having absorbed the three placed there, from the sole of the vessel's foot, he contemplates it as if it were hollow. Below, on top of the mandala of wind and fire, the letter ཛྷཻཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), from the red one, the rays of light that arise, the assemblies facing upwards, having entered into the center of the sole of the foot, and having gone to the crown of the head, the body is thoroughly purified, and the wisdom being, luminous, should be caused to enter. Then, it will move. Again, in order to rise, on top of the lotus of the vessel's heart, he contemplates the letter HUNG, and from that which has become complete, he meditates on Vajrasattva. Similarly, on the head, HA, from that which has become complete, arises the body vajra. Again, in the throat, from AH arises Amitabha.
