They cause these to arise, and they also cause to arise speech and great speech, such as "Thus have I heard," as well as the five sciences, the fourteen worldly aspects, the six languages and sounds, and various musical instruments, and so forth. Therefore, all of these and the worldly terms arise from the very matrix of letters. As it is said: If this lamp called sound does not illuminate in samsara, then all of the three realms will arise in darkness. Initially, the fame and image of the king, relying on the mirror of true speech, even though they do not remain, look! The nature does not change. With these words, it is shown that the eighty-four thousand aggregates of dharma are also the nature of Āli and Kāli, this is the teaching of the generation stage. Now, the stage of dissolution will also be explained. For example, the eight categories of Āli and so forth are the nature of the eight consciousnesses. They also dissolve into the initial letters, becoming eight letters. These eight letters also become three due to the distinction of vowels, consonants, and letters. For example, vowels are the nature of wisdom, and consonants are the nature of skillful means. Ya and so forth are the nature of both. Therefore, they should be known as the nature of female, male, and neuter. Therefore, Āḥ is that which gathers vowels, it is the nature of wisdom. Hūṃ is that which gathers consonants, it is the nature of skillful means. Oṃ is that which gathers Ya, Ra, La, Va, and so forth, it is the nature of neuter. These three letters are also the nature of the three realms, the nature of body, speech, and mind, the nature of the moon, sun, and fire, the nature of Vairocana, Amitābha, and Akṣobhya, they should be known as the nature of entering and so forth, and the nature of the three existences such as death and so forth. They are also gradually gathered as before, entering the letters on the petals of the Dharma Wheel of the Dharmadhātu of the eight-petaled navel wheel, entering the nature that generates all words, and the divisions of entering and so forth.

Entering into the short syllable that is free from defilements, one should abide as a yogi of the essence of the Dharmadhatu. In the great yoga of the Glorious Magical Net Tantra, it is also said: "What is the most excellent of all syllables?" and so on. Similarly, the nature of mantra is also fourfold: the gathering of mantras, the seals of mantras, the meaning of mantras, and the suchness of mantras. Therefore, for now, the gathering of mantras has been explained before, and it will be explained in another way. Here, with the syllable A of the eight-petaled Dharmadhatu wheel located at the navel, with the pride of Vairochana, emitting white light, on the lunar disc, above the wheel, with the nature of the syllable (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), it should be placed at the crown of the head. Similarly, with the pride of speech vajra, in the throat, on the solar disc, above the lotus, the red syllable (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) should be placed. Similarly, in the heart, on the solar disc, above the vajra, with the pride of mind vajra, the syllable resembling the color of the sky (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) should be placed. Then, having recited it, the mantra is gathered in the order of the inner self. The seals of mantras, for example, the mantra of emanation, possesses (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) and (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Svaha). The headless mantra does not have (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om). The tailless mantra does not have (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ་, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Svaha). The gathering mantra does not have either. Other seals similar to this kind should also be known to follow the order of actions. For example, the heart mantra makes the Bhagavan manifest. The near-heart mantra is through the means of the limbs. The mantra that urges the heart mantra is for the purpose of manifesting accomplishment from others. The root mantra is for recitation. The garland mantra is for offering. The knowledge mantra is for accomplishing the collection of actions. The holding mantra is for accomplishing worldly and transworldly accomplishments. The seed syllables are for perfecting the deity's form. The Bhagavan has spoken of these and other various kinds of seals for the sake of sentient beings who possess different intentions. The meaning of mantras, for example, Vairochana, who is the chief of the family of body, speech, and mind.
