Then, generate the mind of enlightenment, and request all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to consider me. I, named so-and-so, from this time onwards, until I reach the essence of enlightenment. Just as the protectors of the three times have done, as they have determined in enlightenment, I will also generate the unsurpassed and supreme mind of enlightenment. In the yoga vows of the Buddha, I will uphold the precepts of discipline, accumulate virtuous dharmas, and the three disciplines that benefit sentient beings, I will firmly uphold. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the unsurpassed Three Jewels, I will uphold from now on. The supreme great lineage of the Vajra family, the vajra, bell, and mudra, I will also uphold in truth. I will also rely on the teachers. The supreme great lineage of the Ratna family, in the pleasing vows, every day at six times, I will generously give the four kinds of giving. From the great enlightenment, the pure ones of the Lotus family, the three vehicles of outer, inner, and secret, I will uphold the supreme Dharma. I have generated the unsurpassed mind of enlightenment, for the benefit of all sentient beings, I will uphold all vows without exception.
