When the wisdom free from grasping arises, having abandoned the eighty kinds of conceptual thoughts, one is certain that everything is like an illusion, therefore there is no distinction between friend and foe. Similarly, knowing all opponents to be like illusions, there is no such thing as an enemy. Reciting this song's verses demonstrates its benefits. Having thus shown the Great Seal, the Samaya Mudra is explained, beginning with "pressing the thumbs." One joins the vajra palms, presses the tips of the index fingers and thumbs together at the joints, and the tip of the middle finger is called "the eye of glorious accomplishment," which is the Samaya Mudra for accomplishing the siddhis of the Vajrasattva mandala. The mudra of the Vairochana mandala is, joining the vajra palms together. It is said, joining the two vajra palms together, bending the two index fingers, joining them to the tips of the thumbs, and making the palms hollow. The mudra of the Heruka mandala is, opening the vajra palms upwards, bending the tips of the two index fingers and pressing them down with the two thumbs, pressing down on weariness. It is said that the yakshini named Glorious Lady snatches and comes, generating the four joys. The mudra of Padma Garwang (Lotus Lord of Dance) is, joining the vajra palms together equally, extending the middle fingers, and the two thumbs and little fingers in the manner of four opening lotuses. This is the mudra of the Vajra Sun Mandala, joining the vajra palms together equally, bending the two index fingers, and covering them with the thumbs, which is called the Glorious Jewel. The mudra of Hayagriva is, joining the vajra palms together, extending the little finger and ring finger from the base, and bending the tips of the two index fingers, which is the mudra. Having thus shown the Samaya Mudras, the great Samaya Mudra of the powder mandala is contemplated, namely, "body, speech, and mind are vajra," and so forth. The body, speech, and mind of the yogi are contemplated as the deity of the powder mandala, holding the mudra of signs, and through the methods of approaching, accomplishing, and the four activities, everything is generated through the union of the deity of speech, and one should contemplate oneself as the deity. Each of the deities of the six mandalas should be contemplated in their respective mandalas. Why is it called Samaya? Because body, speech, and mind are sealed with emptiness, like an illusion.

And because it does not go beyond the Dharma realm of emptiness, it is called the Great Samaya. Now, the Great Samaya of the Ganachakra is explained. It is said, "Vajrasattva Yoga," etc., which means to meditate on the form and attire of a deity. "Blissful sleep is the lord of all," which means that the blissful sleep of co-emergent joy is the nature of the bliss of all desires, and one should engage in the five desires. If asked, how is this the Great Samaya? "Without attachment and without non-attachment, the Middle Way is also without object," which means the union of Vajrasattva meditating on the emptiness of object and subject. "Neither existent nor non-existent, the Middle Way is also without object," which means that meditating on the emptiness of mind will give rise to the Samadhi of the Fourth Empowerment. Meditating on the luminous body like that of Vairocana is the Mudra of Vairocana's union. "Everything is the nature of space, and space also has no nature," etc., is the nature of luminosity. Having meditated on the form of Heruka and recited the mantra, ༄། Born, enjoying the precious woman etc. born from the wisdom of birth, one will attain the Siddhi of the Lord of Desire. This is the union of Heruka. "Just like this red lotus," etc., is the union of Padma Garwang of the nature of luminosity. "Extremely fierce and violent," etc., is the appearance of bright luminosity, which is the union of Vajra Gītā. "Everything is believed to be pure," etc., is the meditation on the form of Vajra Sun and Hayagriva of the nature of luminosity, which is the wisdom of the Mudra of Hayagriva's union. Thus, the twenty hundred Mudras for accomplishing Siddhi, this is greater than the Great Samaya of meditating on the Samaya Mandala. It is the explanation of the wisdom of the Mudra of the union of meditating on the deities of the Ganachakra. Now, the Mudra of all unions: "However many unions there are," etc., thus it is said, the Yogi of the Mandala's manifestation, having meditated as it is in accordance with the four practices of approach and accomplishment, with the distinctions of the four activities, in various ways, to the six Mandalas of Vajrasattva etc., pacifying is white, increasing is yellow, subjugating is red.
