It appears as having that. If it is fully understood by another, then how does it understand? Because saying "by what does it become itself" is not in accordance with reality, so are those previous statements not to be refuted? No, because this very nature of "fully understanding in others," is it not naturally and completely understood in all things and acknowledged? If it is fully understood by others, then how does it become fully understanding its own nature? What fault is there in that? If it were like that, then how would it even exist? Therefore, because it does not understand its true nature, this becomes the nature of existence. All these occurrences of existence are like being blinded by the film of habitual tendencies, like something done by hand, appearing entirely in a false form. So, how are they different from those? They arise from the power of the ripening of previous actions. It is certainly acceptable to acknowledge that, but as long as one follows samsara, the mind will also follow. Therefore, just as in a mirage, one perceives the form of water, here too, there is no contradiction in the fact that the very nature appears as the object of existence. Therefore, since it has become samsara, just as it does not understand the nature of mirages and so forth, and thus some false cognition arises, how does it understand the very nature? As long as the very nature is fully manifest, it is acknowledged as nirvana. Otherwise, I too would attain nirvana to some extent. Therefore, even without fully understanding the true nature, simply through self-awareness, truthfully, each can attain all the levels of nirvana. Just as a person who has just come from the distant island of Rika, even if they do not know that the nature of this fire is to burn, will they not dispel the cold if they properly touch and experience it? And if they touch it more thoroughly, will they not be burned? Similarly, if one eats something like turmeric, not knowing it is poison, will they not drool, faint, and so forth? Therefore,

If someone says that it is precisely because Suchness does not understand its own nature as it is, that there is samsara, while others are because they have comprehended their own nature, this statement is not reasonable. That is not the case, even if the wisdom of Suchness thoroughly understands as it is, it will still arise due to its own needs. Why is that? If a word of a name, when other things are thoroughly illuminated, doesn't that other thing itself also arise with the need to thoroughly illuminate its own ease? If that were the case, wouldn't it be that because all beings possess the wisdom of Suchness, there would be no need to sever the suffering of existence? No, it is not right to say that merely experiencing Suchness will transform into the nature of having no existent things, nirvana. Because merely that does not bring about nirvana. Merely understanding Suchness does not lead to nirvana. In what circumstances, what thing, through what, will nirvana occur? It is precisely through the realization of Suchness. If that were the case, wouldn't it be that at all times there would be no suffering of existence? No, because the nature of Thusness has not been truly recognized. When one realizes the nature of Thusness, at that time one realizes Suchness, and at that time it is said to be established as nirvana, while sentient beings who are immersed in the ocean of existence, because they have not truly comprehended its nature, therefore all beings have not

It exists in various forms. Its special necessity is that there is no doubt that the name of Nirvana is the nature of meaning, which is especially understood. So, if the nature of Nirvana is not self-cognizant, then why is this specially described separately from the necessity of the nature of self-cognizance? If so, then even a few times out of a hundred, Nirvana will not become the nature of realization, because there is no nature of self-cognizance. In any action other than self-cognizance, how does it cognize this? Therefore, pots and so on also do not cognize by nature, and mere matter cannot clearly arise, or is Nirvana also like that? No, because the knowledge of the form of the pot arises correctly due to the causes of the eyes, ears, attention, and objects, and after cognition, the pot is cognized from cognition, it is known, although it is said, but because it itself is matter. There is no manifestation of other active things, is Nirvana also like that? No, it is the wisdom of
