As I said, like the ears of a nectar water tree. Just as eating the ears of fruit born from a water tree without marrow can produce a taste like nectar, similarly, the compassion born from emptiness will also become the cause of the fruit of the Enjoyment Body of the Tathagata. This is the meaning of this sentence. After explaining the abbreviated meaning, in order to further explain in detail, the Buddha said: The wisdom that abides in the center. And so on. Among them, wisdom is the letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ). The form of wisdom is formless. That is to say, the nature of the letter Hūṃ is emptiness, it is formless. Then what is it like? It is the sign of no sign. That is to say, although it has the sign of the shape of a letter, its nature is emptiness, so it is without sign. Why? The Wisdom Body is without stain. That is to say, the Dharmata Wisdom Body is not stained by things, because its nature is luminosity. Therefore, in order to show that the nature of the nine letters is like this, the Buddha said: Separated from existence and non-existence, and so on. Who knows its characteristics? And so on. That is to say, whichever yogi knows the general and specific characteristics corresponding to wisdom, and knows the equality, then he will quickly attain the path of enlightenment. This is a summary statement. So how does one know equality? The Buddha said: Through the oral instructions of the Guru. And so on. The characteristics of the form of wisdom and discriminating consciousness must be taught by the Guru's instructions, otherwise it will not work. In order to clearly explain this, the Buddha said: Only the Hero can show it. Among them, the Hero refers to the Tathagata or the Guru, etc., because they can win the battle of afflictions. The Hero alone has shown the emptiness of duality, which is a summary statement, because it is transmitted from ear to ear. If you practice this, then in all times and places, you will be adorned with white light. Among them, this refers to the nine letters. One should visualize the white light of these letters illuminating all ten directions. Now, in order to show the Samadhi of Bindu, the Bhagavan said: Visualize the stupa of the five sounds and the nectar seed.

It is said, 'Sa ni.' It means that in the place where the stupa of the five aggregates is meditated upon, on top of the lunar mandala, one should meditate on the nectar seed syllable Oṃ (藏文,ॐ,oṃ,嗡). How should one meditate? It is said: 'Beautiful with white light, partaking of the essence of the stream of nectar.' This means that on the lunar mandala moistened with nectar, the stream of nectar dripping from Oṃ (藏文,ॐ,oṃ,嗡) should be placed upon the bindu below. After that, the meditation on the bindu is taught: 'The size of a thumb, round, held in the center of the moon.' And so on, meaning that in the throat, in the center of the lunar mandala, one should meditate on a round bindu the size of a thumb. Then the seed syllable in its center is taught: 'Arising from Āli Kāli,' which is the letter Ā (藏文,आ,ā,阿). 'In the doors in its center,' means that the stream of nectar should be poured into the letter in the center of that bindu. 'The bindu is extremely renowned for contemplation.' Up to that point, it is taught as the samadhi of the bindu. Now, wanting to show the subtle samadhi, it is said: 'Like a hundred tips of hair.' And so on, where 'a hundred tips of hair' is the measure. What is it? 'The mind, the size of a particle.' This means that the mind, transcending the senses, should be meditated upon as a particle. What is the shape? It is said: 'Possessing the wisdom that symbolizes characteristics, the self-nature of consciousness.' One should contemplate the wisdom and the seed syllable of consciousness, symbolizing the characteristics of the shape of the letter Hūṃ (藏文,हूं,hūṃ,吽). The meditation is taught: 'Wherever the method of the bindu abides, one should contemplate with knowledge of its characteristics.' This means that in the same place as the bindu above, one should also contemplate the characteristics of the subtle samadhi of the letter Hūṃ (藏文,हूं,hūṃ,吽), which is the concluding statement. Where in the body and speech should that subtle samadhi be placed and meditated upon? It is said: 'In the heart and the aperture of Brahmā, and on the path of the door of the bindu.' There, the heart is in the heart center. The aperture of Brahmā is the crown of the head. The bindu is the path of the nose, meaning the throat. Therefore, the subtle samadhi should be meditated upon there. The guru's instruction is just that, one should hold consciousness and wisdom. This means that the letter of consciousness and wisdom is Hūṃ (藏文,हूं,hūṃ,吽).
