Having made the appearance disappear with the samadhi of emptiness, thereby, the defilements of sentient beings are purified. This is to be combined with that. Although this treatise is also found in non-Buddhists, it should not be abandoned, because there is no contradiction in all respects. This is the summarized meaning of this chapter. "My," and so on, because the wisdom of emptiness with the characteristics of tranquility and so on becomes extremely clear, therefore it is the extreme action. In the commentary on the glorious four seats, "The Reason for Remembrance," the third (chapter) of the division of my seat sequence. The Fourth Division. Now, in order to show a little of the yoga of the deity at the end of emptiness, therefore, the fourth division, such as "Listen," and so on, is spoken. Vajra, refers to Vajrapani. "Listen," is related to "non-duality." "As it is path," is for suppressing as the path. "Abandoning duality," is being separated from grasping and so on, therefore it is non-dual. These show that the non-duality of the yoga of the deity itself is the path to the Great Bodhi. How is it? It is said, "Samsara," and so on. Samsara itself is the ocean, because it is difficult for children to cross. Suffering is extremely difficult, so it is very frightening. "The enemy of water is filled with the holy." The enemy of water refers to crocodiles and so on, here it refers to the enemy of crocodiles and so on of desire and so on, filled with the holy, that is, good people. "Sentient beings sinking in the middle." Refers to sentient beings sinking in that ocean of samsara. What are those? It is said, "It is called the nature of salvation." The nature refers to what is to be signified, that is, the yoga of the deity. Salvation refers to the savior, the path that saves sentient beings from the ocean of samsara. "Saying" means that all the immeasurable Buddhas have spoken it. In order to show the nature of non-dual wisdom, it is said, "What is to be signified," and so on. What is to be signified is the yoga of the deity. Nature is the act of examining it.

Therefore, symbolizing with this is the symbolizer, the practitioner yogi. As for "consciousness and wisdom," consciousness is the knowable. Wisdom is discrimination, the characteristic of the grasper and the grasped of things like name, etc. As for "with wisdom, one sees the knowable," wisdom is the wisdom of emptiness. The knowable is the aggregates, etc., and there, those are its functions. As for "one should examine the going of the knowable," the knowable is the symbolized, etc. Going is its nature. Examining is observing, its nature is the wisdom of the nature that is separated from the grasper and the grasped, that itself is non-dual. Examining the going ༄ with the mind, refers to the yogi who has penetrated the nature of the knowable. What will it become? It will manifestly go as desired. As for saying "with a rope," etc., with the path of non-dual deity yoga, as desired, it will proceed to the meaning of complete enlightenment. In order to explain the other benefits of the path of realizing emptiness, it says "with a rope," etc. As for "like an elephant bound drunk," like a drunken elephant bound by a rope, although bound by the rope, it obtains special enjoyment. Similarly, the yogi bound by the rope of samsara is also the same. As for "the rope of samsara obscures the essential point," the essential point is the wisdom of completely knowing the nature, obscuring is entering into it. Who? It is the yogi, like an elephant. As for "emptiness for a moment," it is merely an approximate symbol. What? It is the immeasurable number of previous lifetimes. As for "going from going," it refers to the going of previous lifetimes, the bondage of samsara taken moment by moment, although bound by it, but having cultivated the deity yoga that follows emptiness, even if complete enlightenment is not achieved, when the time of death comes, one will go to an excellent place, that is the meaning. Therefore, it says "previously," etc., as for "like the characteristic shown previously," that is, "the mind dissolves into space," etc.
