Touching with a vajra imbued with scented water held in the right hand, offering flowers on the crown of the head, incense and lamps in front, and good scents in the heart, offering with the mantra of flowers and so on. Take a straight toothbrush of twelve finger-lengths, such as from the Ashvattha tree, without worms, cracks, or wounds, wash it with good scented water, and tie a garland of flowers at the tip. Bless these facing north. Also, smear these with clay, etc., of a four-cubit square mandala, facing east or north, and then, with that toothbrush, recite "Om Vajra Hasa Ha," trim the tip, making sure it is not cracked, and facing upwards. Without looking, throw it forward. Within the mandala, if it falls facing east, north, west, south, up, or down, then pacification, increase, subjugation, accomplishment, and vidyadhara, and the accomplishments of the underworld will occur, and these should be explained. If it falls outside, there will be no accomplishment. Then, generated from the syllable Vaṃ (藏文，梵文天城体，vam，water), bless the water that has been recited for washing the face. Recite the mantra of all actions seven times and offer three handfuls of scented water. Reciting "Om Hrīḥ Suviśuddha Sarva Dharmāḥ Pāpa Nica Sya Viśodhaya Sarva Vikalpāna Apānaya Hūṃ Phaṭ," have them drink it. Then, for those sitting nearby outside, generated from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文，梵文天城体，hūṃ，吽), recite it seven times, and many undamaged tips of kusha grass are for the purpose of a mat. Similarly, one generated from the syllable Dhīḥ (藏文，梵文天城体，dhīḥ， धीः). Recite that and that mantra of all actions, making it for the purpose of a pillow. Bless with the mantra "Om Vajra Tiṣṇa Dhaṃ," and then make a red thread three times the size of the student's body. Generated from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文，梵文天城体，hūṃ，吽), recite that and the mantra of all actions seven times. Make three knots and on their left arm, reciting "Om Buddha Maitri Rakṣa Rakṣa Sarvāna Svāhā," tie it on and protect it well, thereby generating great joy. For countless eons, whatever sins have been committed in the past, all of them will be exhausted upon seeing such a mandala. For those supreme practitioners whose intelligence is utterly stainless, now they will be liberated from all sources of suffering, the lower realms. Great self-natured ones, you have obtained unparalleled gain.

Find that self. Whoever makes you all victorious ones, and all the teachings of those with retinues, completely uphold and abide, will become the great self-nature. Therefore, you will become the lords of birth of the Great Vehicle. The Great Vehicle is the great place of arising, this glorious and perfect supreme path, whoever causes you to enter, will become the Tathagatas. Let them hear these, and afterwards protect them with the encircling mantra of protection. In order to recite it, proclaim the encircling mantra. Speak to me in the morning! Saying this, either separate with a curtain at the end of the mandala ground in the mandala palace, or in another place, let them lie down in the lion's sleeping posture. Enter the mandala palace yourself, and for the sake of protection, recite the encircling mantra. This is the ritual for the disciple to abide especially. Afterwards, the guru offers the torma in the morning, comes out of the mandala palace, and asks the disciples about their dreams. Protect with all the mantras from dreams that signify inauspicious omens such as falling from mountains.
